  • Patent number: 8431165
Abstract: A medicament for the treatment of cancer and other diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, by increasing cellular oxygenation is described wherein a composition of organically grown, chemically unprocessed and unrefined oils is used that provides a ratio of parent omega-6 to parent omega-3 that is greater than 1:1 and preferably within a range from about 1.1:1 to about 5:1. Most preferably, the ratio is about 2.6:1. The medicament may be administered via capsule or liquid form and preferably on a periodic basis, such as daily. In further embodiments, the medicament may be applied in topical ointment form.

  • Publication number: 20040058303
Abstract: A method of dance instruction utilizing aerobics is provided. The method incorporates dance steps into an aerobics routine, so that by repeating the aerobics routine, the participant can quickly learn the dance steps. A variety of dances may be taught by this method, such as the waltz, salsa, mamba, swing, cha cha, tango, zumba, zambra, and merengue, as examples. The method comprises presenting an aerobics routine having at least one dance set, typically at a pace that allows the participant to perform the aerobics routine either with or after the presentation. The method also includes the participant performing the aerobics routine while obtaining a cardiovascular workout. The aerobics routine has at least one dance and preferably, a number of different dances run sequentially or repeating in any combination. The routine includes at least one aerobics movement between dance sets; e.g., bending at the waist, touching the floor, jumping, lunging, or stretching.

  • Patent number: 5704440
Abstract: A method for distributing energy in a vehicle having a hybrid electric drive system that includes an internal combustion engine and at least one electric motor which deliver torque to a primary drive shift having at least two drive wheels operatively associated therewith. The method includes the steps of delivering torque from the internal combustion engine and the electric motor to the primary drive shaft to accelerate the vehicle from a stationary position to a predetermined cruising velocity, disengaging the electric motor from the primary drive shaft once the vehicle has accelerate to the cruising velocity to reduce parasitic drag on the system, and delivering torque from the internal combustion engine to the primary drive shaft utilizing the mean horsepower of the internal combustion engine to maintain the vehicle at the cruising velocity.
