Abstract: A system for mitigating network attacks is provided. The system includes a protected network including a plurality of devices. The system further includes one or more attack mitigation devices communicatively coupled to the protected network. The attack mitigation devices are configured and operable to monitor a plurality of messages exchanged between an external device and a protected device in the protected network. The attack mitigation devices are further configured to parse messages received from the protected device to identify a status flag indicative of malicious characteristic of message requests sent by the external device. The attack mitigation devices are also configured to determine malicious characteristic of the external device based on the identified status flag and to insert network address of the external device into either a first list or a second list based on the determined malicious characteristic of the external device.

Abstract: A system for mitigating network attacks includes a protected network including a plurality of devices. The system further includes attack mitigation devices communicatively coupled to the protected network. The mitigation devices are configured to receive network data packets from external devices attempting to access protected devices in the protected network. The attack mitigation devices are further configured to periodically analyze effectiveness of each of a plurality of packet analysis sections. Each of the plurality of packet analysis sections includes a plurality of packet analysis instructions and is associated with a counter configured to count number of packets dropped by a corresponding analysis section. The attack mitigation devices are further configured to disable one or more of the plurality of packet analysis sections responsive to the performed analysis and to analyze the received network data packets by utilizing only enabled one or more of the plurality of the packet analysis sections.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for ad hoc cooperative routing in an IP network. Included is an emergency stand alone (ESA) system that provides a bypass to a failed TDM switch for multiple communication devices in communication with one or more TDM switches. One or more internet protocol media gateways communicate a multicast signal upon the failure of a switch. The multicast initiates Voice over IP communication between endpoints, bypassing the failed switch.

Abstract: A system, method, and device for imaging and identifying attributes of an object are disclosed. The exemplary system may have the following components. A retro-reflective panel may be positioned behind the object. A light source may be used to illuminate the retro-reflective panel and the object. A camera may image light reflected by the retro-reflective panel and the object. A microprocessor may receive the images from the camera and identify attributes of the object.
