  • Patent number: 11971454
Abstract: A system and method for determining whether a battery is operating in an anomalous condition can include or be configured to measure sensor data, estimate a local property of the battery using on the sensor data, and classify whether the battery is operating in the anomalous condition based on the local property.

  • Publication number: 20070005620
Abstract: A method, computer readable medium, and system for processing a structured document are disclosed. The method, computer readable medium, and system include identifying a plurality of strings processed by a database, assigning an identifier to each of the plurality of strings, storing each of the plurality of strings and its assigned identifier in a table in the database, and utilizing the table during document processing.

  • Publication number: 20060004758
Abstract: A system and method for concurrency control of hierarchically structured data is provided. Lock requests on a target node are processed by exploiting ancestor-descendant information encoded into prefix encoded node identifiers (IDs). A set of implicit locks on ancestor nodes along a path from an immediate parent of a target node to a root node is derived from an explicit lock request on a target node. A logical lock tree describing existing lock modes for ancestor nodes is consulted to determine compatibility with the derived set of implicit locks. If existing lock modes for ancestor nodes are compatible with the derived set of implicit locks, a lock request on a target node is granted. Otherwise, the lock request is denied. A lock release request follows the reverse process; a target node in a particular transaction is released, as are subsequent locks on its ancestors made by the same transaction.

  • Publication number: 20050228787
Abstract: A method and system for associating information related to a component of a structured document that is stored in its native format in a database system includes generating a hierarchical node tree comprising a plurality of nodes, where each node represents a component in the structured document, and generating a path associated with each node, where the path follows the hierarchical structure of the structured document from a root node to the node. In each node, an identifier associated with the path is stored. A table is provided that correlates the identifier with information related to the associated path. The information applies to the component represented by the node.

  • Publication number: 20050050467
Abstract: An improved method and system for processing a structured document stored in a database is disclosed. The method includes identifying strings that are processed by the database, assigning an identifier to each of the strings, storing each of the strings and the assigned identifier in a table in the database, where the table is a global database table, and utilizing the table to replace the strings with their assigned identifiers throughout the database, where the identifiers are used during document processing.

  • Publication number: 20050050059
Abstract: An improved method and system for storing a structured document in its native format in a database is disclosed. The method includes receiving the structured document, generating a hierarchical node tree comprising a plurality of nodes, where the node tree represents the structured document, and storing the plurality of nodes in at least one record in the database. Through the aspects of the present invention, a structured document is parsed and a hierarchical node tree comprising a plurality of nodes is generated from the parsed data. The plurality of nodes is stored in one or more records. Each node points to its parent, to its attributes, and to its child-elements. By storing the structured document as a plurality of nodes forming a node tree, the document's structure is preserved and navigation up and down the tree is simplified. Moreover, by storing the nodes of the tree in standard database records, the existing infrastructure for fixed page buffer management, utilities, and operations, e.g.
