Abstract: Provided is a system and method that acquires and aggregates information to determine the location of a user. Information from multiple sources is collected and evaluated. Location sources include mobile electronic devices such as mobile telephones, cell phones, hand-held computers, personal digital assistants, pagers, Global Positioning System (GPS) devices, and other pervasive computing devices. Satellite-based or network-based positioning technologies make ti possible to determine the geographic location of these wireless electronic devices and their coresponding user. Location sources also include computer-based models, schedules or calendars that gave a particular user's expected location depending on the date and time. Provided is a method for aggregating information to determine a user's location. Also provided is a system for executing the claimed method. Also provided is a service for providing the claimed method.

Abstract: A computer controlled interactive television system comprising receiving apparatus for and storing a transmitted data stream representative of television programs of defined duration originally broadcast at defined times comprising apparatus for receiving and storing the transmitted data, a television display in combination with apparatus enabling a user to select the presentation of one of said stored television programs on the television display and apparatus responsive to a user selection of a stored program for presenting the selected television program on the television display. This is representative of a standard PVR or DVR operation.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer instructions for indicating most recent documents, such as email messages in a message file. A determination is made as to whether a more recent message in a thread of related messages is present in the message file in response to a first user input selecting a message for processing. A first indication of the more recent message is presented if the more recent message in the thread of related messages is present in the message file. A determination is made as to whether the more recent message in the thread of related messages has been received in the message file in response to a second user input to send the message. A second indication of the more recent message in the thread of related messages is presented if the more recent message in the thread of related messages has been received in the message file.
