  • Patent number: 5821065
Abstract: A method for determining collagen degradation products in a body fluid sample using a non-competitive or competitive immunoassay is disclosed, the method comprising incubating the body fluid sample with an amount of antibody which specifically reacts with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 2 of collagen l or a fragment thereof, and determining the collagen degradation products bound to the amount of the antibody. A kit for such a method is also disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 21, 1995
Date of Patent: October 13, 1998
    Assignee: Boehringer Mannheim GmbH
Inventors: Werner Naser, Brigitte Drager, Ulrich Essig, Christa Hubner-Parajsz, Erasmus Huber
  • Patent number: 5763272
Abstract: Disclosed are antibodies which specifically bind the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO. 1 of collagen I. A hybridoma cell line which produces the antibodies is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5532172
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the determination of low density lipoproteins (LDL) in body fluids, wherein high density lipoprotein (HDL) antibodies are added to a sample to be investigated, insolubles formed are separated off and the LDL or one of its components is determined in the supernatant. The present invention also provides a reagent for the determination of the LDL fraction in body fluids, wherein it contains HDL antibodies.

  • Patent number: 4474887
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the determination of the .beta.-lipoprotein fraction (LDL) in body fluids, especially in serum or plasma, wherein the LDL fraction is selectively precipitated from the sample by the addition of a polyvinyl sulphate with monovalent cations and then determined. The present invention also provides a reagent for the determination of the .beta.-lipoprotein fraction (LDL) in body fluids, especially in serum or plasma, wherein it contains polyvinyl sulphate.
