  • Patent number: 5634126
Abstract: The invention relates to a telecommunication system provided with resources and with software which controls the individual resources and also the manner in which the resources cooperate mutually at a system level. In accordance with the invention, the software is divided into two parts. The first part, called object logic, comprises a number of object units, each of which represents an individual type of resource. Further, each object unit includes operations for controlling its individual resource. An individual type of resource may be used for a number of different purposes. The second part, called control logic, includes a number of control cases. Each control case, in turn, combines a number of object units in a superordinate fashion, to control the mutual cooperation of corresponding resources irrespective of the manner in which an individual object unit is intended to influence its resource.

  • Patent number: 5517563
Abstract: A network structure and a signalling protocol for a telecommunication network. The nodes of the communication network are interconnected by a connection network as well as a signalling network. Computer software controlling the communication equipment of each node is divided into two types of software, connection related software and service related software. Connection related software groups of different nodes communicate with each other via a first protocol while service related software groups of different nodes communicate via a second protocol different from the first protocol. Between an originating node of a call and the terminating node of the same call a direct signalling path is established in the signalling network allowing for the addition of new service features in the originating and terminating nodes without the need to implement the new service features in the inbetween nodes via which the same call is routed in the connection network.

  • Patent number: 5333178
Abstract: in a telecommunication network structure, all functions related to traffic control, including functions for controlling, originating and terminating connections, take place in a mobile service control point while the physical set up of the connections take place in mobile service points which are subordinated to the mobile service control point. Subordinated units are connected to each mobile service point with trunks. A signal net is transferring traffic control signals, including connection control signals, to the subordinated units in which the connections are made, using the trunks.
