  • Patent number: 6667011
Abstract: A recuperative heat exchanger with a catalyst comprises a heat exchanger core composed of a plurality of spaced apart plate members. The plate members are positioned in adjacent and substantially parallel relationship. The plate members define a first plurality of passageways and a second plurality of passageways which extend between the spaced apart plate members. The first plurality of passageways is separate from the second plurality of passageways. The first plurality of passageways is disposed for receiving high temperature exhaust gases while the second plurality of passageways is disposed for receiving supply air. A catalyst material, comprising a support material coated or impregnated with a suitable catalytic agent for removal of pollutants, is disposed within the first plurality of passageways.

  • Patent number: 5992318
Abstract: The invention is a system for a printing press which maintains the density of the colored ink put down on a moving paper web. The system includes a scanning device having a strobe light for illuminating a color patch in a color bar which runs transversely across the web, a camera for photographing the illuminated color patch and a step motor for moving the scanner incrementally across the web. Actuation of the scanner is timed through a microprocessor using input from an optical sensor and encoder. A signal is sent from the camera to a computer which determines the density of the color patch shot. A work station calculates how much the existing ink control console must be adjusted to maintain density and a command signal is sent from the work station to the console to effect the adjustment.

  • Patent number: 4852640
Abstract: A recuperative heat exchanger having a heat exchamber core composed of a plurality of spaced apart plate members is disclosed. The core is disposed for receiving high temperature exhaust gases. A case member is positioned around the heat exchanger core. The case member has an exhaust gas inlet opening and an exhaust gas discharge opening. The plates of the core are secured to the case member at the exhaust gas inlet opening. A jacket is positioned in a spaced apart relationship around the case member. The jacket has an intake opening and an exhaust opening. The intake opening of the jacket is in alignment with the exhaust gas inlet opening of the case member and the exhaust opening in the jacket is in alignment with exhaust gas discharge opening in the case member. The case member is secured to the jacket at the exhaust gas discharge. The core and case member of the heat exchanger are capable of expansion and contraction in the jacket during the operation of the heat exchanger.
