  • Patent number: 6056347
Abstract: A device for covering a vehicle so as to protect the vehicle from the elements. The device includes a water impermeable cover having a top surface and a bottom surface that are defined between a front edge, a back edge and two side edges. A plurality of formers are coupled to the bottom surface of the cover. The formers support the cover above the surface of the vehicle, thereby preventing direct contact between the material of the cover and the vehicle itself. Protrusions extend from the bottom of the formers. The protrusions contact the vehicle and support the formers a predetermined height above the vehicle when the inflatable formers are laid across the vehicle. The protrusions are spaced apart along the length of each of the formers. The protrusions define gaps between the formers and the vehicle through which air can flow. Air is therefore free to flow under the protective cover, thereby keeping the vehicle cool and preventing moisture from accumulating against the finish of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5752795
Abstract: A cap device for covering the exposed sections of a nut and bolt assembly and preventing oxidation of those exposed sections. The cap device incudes at structure having a first end that is opened and an opposite second end that is at least partially opened. The cap structure defines a chamber in between the first end and the second end that is sized to receive a nut and a segment of a bolt that extends through the nut. The chamber inside the cap structure is at least partially filled with a viscous material that creates an air impervious seal between the cap structure and the nut and bolt assembly. As the cap structure is advanced over a nut and bolt assembly, the viscous fill material is displaced from the chamber through the second end of the cap structure. Once fully seated, a closure element is used to seal the second end of the cap structure. The presence of the closure element creates a vapor lock type of seal that helps retain the cap structure in place.

  • Patent number: 5639969
Abstract: A portable ball testing device for testing inflated sport balls such as tennis balls, racquet balls and the like that includes a tubular element with an entrance port and an exit port that are sized to enable the a ball to be placed within and removed from the respective ports of the tubular element. A restricted region is disposed within the tubular element between the entrance port and the exit port. A ramrod element is provided that extends into the tubular element. A ram head is provided at the end of the ramrod element within the tubular element. As the ramrod element is advanced into the tubular element, the ram head abuts against the ball and pushes the ball through the restricted region. A handle is coupled to the ramrod element via a spring. When a manual force is applied to the handle, the spring compresses and the force is transferred to the ramrod element by the spring.
