Patent number: 9900734Abstract: Method of routing data over a network in which contact is made with a home network to determine the reported geo-position, using this geo-position to transmit data to the device over a path through a node in which the node reads the geo-position, accesses a list of possible recipients and their geo-positions, compares its location to the positions, selects a recipient based at least in part on the proximity of the recipient to the device, and transmits the data over the best path. Eventually, the device becomes the recipient. A geo-position may be transmitted as part of an IP address, or as geo-position data or XML tagged geo-position information contained in a data packet or IP addressed message or IP addressed voice calls (VoIP). The geo-position information can be generated from a GPS receiver. This method and/or IP address may be used in a method of doing business in which the geo-position is used to identify the source and location for delivery.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2015Date of Patent: February 20, 2018Assignee: Lightwaves Systems, Inc.Inventors: Bruce D. Melick, David M. Snyder, Leslie D. Baych

Patent number: 9710497Abstract: A method, system and type of database for transmitting data is disclosed in which the data is organized into a structured linear database. The structured linear database includes a routing header portion, a file allocation table, a data portion and a tailbit portion. The structured linear database may be transmitted over any type of network, such as a TM-UWB system or a fiber-optic system. Once the data to be transmitted is identified, a corresponding field is identified in the field allocation table giving the location of the data within the transmission. This field is then referenced by the user to access the specific type of data desired at the given location of the transmission. this process may be repeated enabling data to be stored on transmission lines and accessed at any point at any time providing an always on network.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2014Date of Patent: July 18, 2017Assignee: Lightwaves Systems, Inc.Inventors: Bruce D. Melick, David M. Snyder, Leslie D. Baych

Patent number: 9454683Abstract: A method associated with a UWB RFID system provides for receiving a data transmission transmitted using UWB and accessing data within the data transmission using a communications protocol. An initial portion of the data transmission defines a structure of the data transmission such that subsequent data in the data transmission is directly accessible without additional decoding.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2014Date of Patent: September 27, 2016Assignee: Lightwaves Systems, Inc.Inventors: Philip T. Kennedy, Joseph A. Gerke, David M. Snyder, Leslie D. Baych, Bruce D. Melick
