  • Patent number: 8570859
Abstract: A system and method for interconnecting multiple mesh transport medium technologies is disclosed. Two nodes are part of a mesh sub-network using a first access technology. The two nodes have at least two paths using the first access technology that couple the two nodes together. A third path using a second access technology also couples the two nodes together.

  • Patent number: 8170544
Abstract: A base transceiver station (BTS) includes a radio access network (RAN) interface for communicating with mobile stations and a backhaul interface for communicating with a backhaul network. A RAN element management system generates RAN status information based on event notifications from the RAN interface. A backhaul element management system generates backhaul status information based on event notifications from the backhaul interface. A correlation engine generates correlated status information for the BTS based on the RAN status information and the backhaul status information. The correlated status information indicates performance of the RAN interface in combination with the backhaul interface. The correlated status information is monitored at a network management system (NMS). The NMS may be used to take corrective actions to address problems identified in the correlated status information.

  • Patent number: 7642988
Abstract: A system and method for mounting a plurality of antenna elements onto a cell tower is disclosed. The plurality of antennas are mounted into a radome enclosure. The radome enclosure has an outer size and shape that matches the outer size and shape of a cellular antenna element. The radome enclosure is configured to attach to a cellular tower using the same physical mounting system as the cellular antenna elements. The plurality of antennas provide multiple point-to-point links that may be used for wireless backhaul links or other applications.

  • Patent number: 7539135
Abstract: The present invention is a system and method for establishing layer one telecommunication carrier virtual networks. In accordance with the present invention, at least one portion of layer one resources of at least one telecommunication network is dedicated to at least one carrier virtual network. The at least one portion of layer one resources dedicated to each carrier virtual network may be identified to the one or more telecommunication networks that may access that carrier virtual network. Each telecommunication network that may access a carrier virtual network may then access the portions of layer one resources dedicated to that carrier virtual network for establishing a service, provisioning a service, or otherwise managing those layer one resources.

  • Patent number: 7436840
Abstract: The present invention provides a system, method, and system manager for establishing and maintaining layer one telecommunication carrier virtual networks. In accordance with the present invention, portions of layer one resources of telecommunication networks are dedicated to a carrier virtual network that may be accessed by other telecommunication networks. Information identifying the portions of layer one resources dedicated to a carrier virtual network is provided to a carrier virtual network system manager by the network system manager of the telecommunication networks dedicating portions of layer one resources to a carrier virtual network. The carrier virtual network system manager identifies the portions of layer one resources dedicated to a carrier virtual network to the network system managers of the telecommunication networks that may access a given carrier virtual network.

  • Patent number: 3961226
Abstract: A multi-terminal arrestor holder and connector module provides electrical connection between telephone lines and telephone repeaters by means of a single body module which houses one three-electrode gas tube lightning protector for each pair of telephone lines. Lightning protection is accomplished by ionization occurring between either of two electrodes and a grounded intermediate electrode. Replacement of the arrestors and repeaters is conveniently provided by the spring clip mounting arrangement integrally formed within the arrestor module so that damaged arrestors can be readily removed without interrupting telephone service.
