Patent number: 11199470Abstract: A first radio frequency scan of a plurality of electronic circuit devices fixed to a structural component of a physical structure can be initiated. Data can be received from each electronic circuit device that is scanned, the data received from each electronic circuit device indicating a first measured electrical impedance of a respective conductor connected to the electronic circuit device and an identifier assigned to the electronic circuit device. For each of the plurality of electronic circuit devices that are scanned, the received data can be stored to a first memory. The data for the electronic circuit devices forms a baseline measurement of the electronic circuit devices to which impedance data gathered from subsequent radio frequency scans of the electronic circuit devices is compared to determine whether any of the conductors of the electronic circuit devices have deformed or broken.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2019Date of Patent: December 14, 2021Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventor: Bruce H. Patent number: 10834617Abstract: Included are network devices, systems, methods, and computer readable medium. These may employ a microcontroller with access to computer readable memory and computer readable storage wherein the microcontroller operates at a first network component of a local area network. The microcontroller may be configured to spatially locate one or more fiducial network components of a local area network in which the microcontroller is a member. The spatial location may be determined by receiving a unique identifier for a first fiducial network component, receiving a wireless signal from the first fiducial network component, determining a physical distance between the first network component and the first fiducial network component, and updating a registry with the determined physical distance. In certain embodiments, the network component may be an RFID reader and the unique identifier may be an IP or MAC address.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2019Date of Patent: November 10, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Theodore R. Patent number: 10007991Abstract: A system for detecting a change in object positioning by processing images by detecting a first entity tagged with a first visually unique identifier, and detecting a second entity tagged with a second visually unique identifier distinguishable from the first visually unique identifier. The system receives a first image, from a first image capturing device, containing the first visually unique identifier and the second visually unique identifier. The system analyzes the first image to determine a distance between the first visually unique identifier and the second visually unique identifier. The system receives a second image containing the first visually unique identifier. The system analyzes the second image to determine a location of the second visually unique identifier relative to the first visually unique identifier to form a distance assessment. Based on the distance assessment, the system determines a change in proximity between the first entity and the second entity.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2016Date of Patent: June 26, 2018Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Bruce H.
