  • Publication number: 20220016810
Abstract: A new method of curing polymer thermoset materials for use in down-hole production system sucker rod protection devices is disclosed. The process for making sucker rod components on a sucker rod comprises the steps of introducing a thermoset molding compound into a molding tool heated to a first temperature; heating the molding compound in the molding tool for a first processing time to form molded sucker rod components on a sucker rod that are partially cured; removing the molded sucker rod components and sucker rod after the first processing time; and placing the sucker rod components and sucker rod into a thermal chamber at a second temperature for a second processing time to provide secondary curing.

  • Patent number: 10820977
Abstract: A system and method of administrating conventional hyperbaric chamber therapy as well as supplemental oxygen therapy at ambient conditions to an animal using a veterinary hyperbaric chamber. The hyperbaric chamber can function in its usual mode of operation; i.e., providing oxygen at greater than atmospheric pressure and also in a second mode of operation to administer supplemental oxygen thereafter at ambient pressure conditions. In the second mode of operation, the method and apparatus may deliver approximately 80 liters per minute continuous flow of 0.21 through 1.0 FI02 adjustable oxygen gas mixture. The mixture is delivered at ambient pressure from one end of the chamber, flows across the animal positioned within the hyperbaric chamber, and exits at the opposite end for exhaust to ambient conditions. A high flow gas mixture is utilized to maintain accurate gas mixture concentrations with fluctuating supply pressures of medical air and medical oxygen gases.

  • Patent number: 10318843
Abstract: An apparatus that includes a computer server having processing circuitry operatively coupled to a memory and a communication interface is provided. A remote image capture device is communicatively coupled to the computer server via the communication interface. The apparatus acquires a captured image of a storage system from the image capture device. The apparatus identifies a pair of physical items in the image, including determining identities of each item of the pair of physical items, and identifying locations in the storage system of each physical item of the pair of physical items. The apparatus processes the image to measure a physical proximity between the pair of physical items, and generates or updates a measure of similarity between the pair of physical items based on the measured physical proximity. The apparatus can also process multiple images to determine similarity between different storage systems or associated persons based on item proximities.

  • Publication number: 20190071525
Abstract: A conductive polymer formed by the photochemical condensation polymerization of polyacetylene. E,E,1,4-diiodobuta-1,4-diene ICH=CH?CH+CHI (DIBD) in a crystalline urea inclusion compound is illuminated with low power broad spectrum pulsed UV visible radiation to form an irradiated DIBD urea inclusion compound that exhibits superconductivity and can be configured into an energy storage device that is rechargeable via magnetic induction. Altnernatively, (E,E,E)-1,6-diiodohexa-1,3-5-triene may be used as the guest monomer that is polymerized in the crystalline urea inclusion compound and the resulting polyacetylene urea composite crystal may be formed into a circuit for use as a superconductor.

  • Patent number: 9977955
Abstract: A method and system for identifying books located on a bookshelf. Photographs of the bookshelf are captured and processed to identify individual books. Processing involves segmenting the photograph into individual book spines and extracting and analyzing features of the book spines. Analysis may include database matching and/or optical character recognition. Book spines for which a match is not found are human labeled, and the label information is added to the database. User feedback is also used to update the database.

  • Patent number: 9195819
Abstract: A method and system for allowing owners of a physical work, such as a book, to purchase an electronic version of the work by validating their ownership of the work using a personal electronic device, such as a smartphone, and marking the work. The owner is instructed to mark the work and to capture camera images of the work. The images are analyzed to identify the work, determine whether the work has been previously marked, and to verify that the work has been marked by the owner. Analysis may be performed remotely by a server in communication with the personal electronic device. Various means for authenticating ownership of the work are also disclosed, including 3D analysis, page curvature analysis, concurrent still image and video capture, detection of use of a video display to spoof the work, and geofencing.

  • Publication number: 20130071815
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a training system adapted to display to a user three dimensional motion trajectory data of a trigger-based device temporally proximate to a trigger action. In an illustrative example, the training system may provide a near real-time graphical display and/or post-firing analysis with graphical display indications of firearm orientation in three axes before, during, or after a trigger action. Some embodiments may output post-firing analysis of the orientation or trajectory to a user of the firearm. The stored graphical display indications may be stored or displayed in substantially real time to a user or observer, who may provide corrective feedback to the user. The three axes of motion may be mutually orthogonal to define three dimensional space. Various embodiments may provide time-shifting of the graphical display indications, for example, to facilitate analysis of the three axis motion relative in time to trigger actions.

  • Publication number: 20060257900
Abstract: A method is disclosed to obtain oligonucleotide sequences with high affinity to target molecules. By design, the oligonucleotides have a defined primary and secondary structure. The affinity for binding to target species is classified or quantified by assay measurements using physical measurements rather than being based primarily on separations. Targets include but are not limited to proteins, polymers, biological membranes including cells and organelles and small molecules.
