  • Patent number: 8652980
Abstract: Inorganic fibers including calcia, alumina, potassia and optionally sodia as the major fiber components are provided. Also provided are methods of preparing the inorganic fibers and of thermally insulating articles using thermal insulation comprising the inorganic fibers. The inorganic fibers are soluble in physiological saline solutions, do not form crystalline silica, and are resistant to temperatures of 1260° C. and greater.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 16, 2011
Date of Patent: February 18, 2014
    Assignee: Unifax I LLC

  • Patent number: 5745479
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting errors in a wireless communication channel comprises a receiver which receives a data stream from the wireless communication channel, a signal strength indication circuit coupled with the receiver which indicates signal strength for a received data stream, and processing resources coupled to the signal strength indication circuit which monitors the received data signal strength to detect anomalies in the strength of the received data stream, typical of erroneous data. Also, the system includes a signal phase monitoring circuit coupled with the receiver. This circuit indicates phase of the received data stream. Processing resources coupled with the signal phase monitoring circuit, monitor the received data stream phase to detect anomalies in phase of the received data stream typical of erroneous data. In addition, the data stream will include data packets having error detection codes imbedded within the data packets.

  • Patent number: 5545841
Abstract: A seamless, light weight container that provides two levels of liquid and gaseous containment. The container has removable covers that have a double seal which allows confirmation of seal integrity prior to shipment by applying a vacuum or pressure to the internal space between the inner and outer seals. This close-out vacuum or pressure test can be completed within minutes and it provides certification that the container seals meet design criteria for quick turn-around in spacecraft environments.
