  • Publication number: 20020023408
Abstract: A process for packing flexible articles in a flexible bag (10) wherein said flexible bag (10) is sealed at its top panel (11) after introduction of said flexible articles leaving attached at least one flap (12) protruding from said top panel (11) of said flexible bag (10), said flap (12) comprises a grip area (14) and a grip area perimeter (15), characterized in that said flexible bag (10) is pre-made before said introduction of said flexible articles through an area corresponding to said top panel (11), a handle element (13) is shaped from said flap (12), said handle element (13) comprising a handle element perimeter (16).

  • Patent number: 6092690
Abstract: The invention relates to a container for containing a stack of moist wipes, the container comprising a container body and a lid covering the container body, the lid comprising a dispensing aperture and a hinging cover connected to the lid and overlying the dispensing aperture, wherein the hinging cover is pivotable around a hinging axis.

  • Patent number: 6079562
Abstract: A bag of folded disposable diapers including folded diapers arranged in at least two superimposed stacks in a direction substantially parallel to their thickness. Each of the diapers has a pair of substantially planar surfaces which are oriented to be substantially parallel to the side panels of the bag and each diaper is folded along at least one folding line in the cross direction so as to define at least one folded area and two non-folded end areas. The diapers are arranged in the bag such that the non-folded end areas corresponding to the waist areas are positioned inwardly, away from the end panels of the flexible bag.

  • Patent number: 6060637
Abstract: The invention relates to absorbent products (1) like baby diapers, adult incontinence products and particularly to sanitary napkins or pantyliners. These absorbent products all have absorbent cores (4) which according to the present invention comprise absorbent gelling materials (5) in granular form or other particles. A problem associated with such cores is that these particles can migrate out of the article along the paths of liquid entry into the product. Therefore, a shield (8) positively separating the paths of liquid transport into the product from the particles is provided for absorbent structures according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 6026957
Abstract: A package comprising an array of at least two substantially parallelepipedal packs, the packs including compressed flexible articles encased in a flexible bag, and a flexible paper covering disposed adjacent the whole of the bottom panel of the array and a substantial part of the side panels of the array corresponding to at least 30 percent of the height of the array. The paper covering is held under tension around the array so as to create a strong and protective outer casing for the array.

  • Patent number: 5922165
Abstract: A process to make a profiled disposable absorbent product is disclosed. The disposable absorbent product has a first sheet, a second sheet and a fibrous core. The core is disposed between the first and second sheets and both sheets are joined to each other along a continuous or discontinuous line. The process comprises the steps of joining the first sheet to the second sheet along a line following at least part of the periphery of the core with a distance to the core of 3 mm to 8 mm; and calendering the core between the sheets in a calender to approximately uniform density, the calendering being such that the core expands along its periphery and thereby reduces the distance of between the edge of the core and the line joining the first sheet to the second sheet by 1 mm or more. The process provides absorbent articles with very small distances between the core and the line of joining the topsheet and backsheet of the absorbent article.

  • Patent number: 5772813
Abstract: In a process of making an absorbent article such as a sanitary napkin or a disposable diaper, hydrophilic fibers and crimped or coiled synthetic fibers are supplied in a single fiberboard to a defiberising means such as a hammermill. The process results in a homogenous and resilient blended absorbent core that can be produced using a single defiberising unit. The crimped or coiled fibers pass through the defiberising means without their two or three-dimensional structure being adversely affected at a relatively low defiberisation energy.
