  • Publication number: 20190200525
Abstract: A crop feeding apparatus having a roller through which the fingers are extended and retracted, has fingers that are formed with tubular finger bodies extending between an inner end configured to be mounted on a finger drive arrangement of the crop feeding apparatus and an outer end of the finger body configured to protrude from the outer peripheral wall of the roller. A breakaway region is formed in the finger body by diametrically opposed slots which are circumferentially elongated to define a shear plane perpendicular to the long axis of the finger body. A slot axis extending between opposing ends of each slot is parallel to the axis of the crop feeding apparatus. The finger body is also hardened by heat treating, and by applying a wear resistant coating over the heat treated body.

  • Publication number: 20120221443
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for comparing and validating information provided by a manufacturer of an individual product item against information provided by a trusted third-party. The information provided by the manufacturer includes an identifier of the individual product item. The information provided by the manufacturer is stored and associated with the information provided by the trusted third-party in a database. When a request for information that includes data representing the identifier is received from a potential purchaser of the individual product item, information associated with the individual product item is looked up in the database using the identifier. At least part of the information associated with the individual product item is transmitted to the potential purchaser. Upon purchase of the individual product item, the identifier can be used to link ownership information provided by the purchaser to the individual product item in the database.

  • Patent number: 7684480
Abstract: A system (10) and method (50) of equalizing an audio signal from an existing radio or head unit (30) using an interface unit (10) between the radio or head unit and a replacement load (34) can include the steps analyzing (64) an existing equalization to provide a measure of an existing frequency response, generating (66) a substantially inverted frequency response to the existing frequency response, and applying (74) the inverted frequency response to the replacement load to provide a desired response. Such as system can include an interface unit (12) having an automatic input level control unit (14), an analog to digital converter or digitizer (16), a DSP (18) providing an output to a DAC (20), a level booster unit (22) and a processor such as a microcontroller unit (24).

  • Patent number: 7167515
Abstract: A system (10) and method (50) of equalizing an audio signal from a factory installed radio (30) using an interface unit (10) between the factory installed radio and a replacement load (34) can include the steps of measuring (52) an existing equalization for the factory installed radio in the interface unit, analyzing (64) the existing equalization to provide a measure of an existing frequency response suited for an old load, generating (66) a substantially inverted frequency response to the existing frequency response, and applying (74) the inverted frequency response to the replacement load to provide a desired response. Such as system can include an interface unit (12) having an automatic input level control unit (14), an analog to digital converter or digitizer (16), a DSP (18) providing an output to a DAC (20), a level booster unit (22) and a processor such as a microcontroller unit (24).

  • Patent number: 7057905
Abstract: A power converter (10) operating in all four voltage-current quadrants includes an input voltage source (14), an output current independent of an output voltage and a switching arrangement (12, 16, 18, and 20) enabling an output terminal (26) to be in common with an input terminal. The output voltage can be unconstrained by an input voltage from the input voltage source.
