A first device includes a system controller user interface and sends data to a second device. The second device processes the data to present a media presentation which exhibits systems, associated features, and their ability to be controlled via a controller. A user can control pool and/or spa equipment using the first device, and the user's input can guide a presentation on the second device, which demonstrates corresponding features of such equipment. As such, the natural connections among a user, a controller, and an associated feature are demonstrated in a sales-effective manner. Additionally, the first device can present a user with a simulation of a control system interface to allow for effective sales of products.

Abstract: The disclosed digital wireless private communication platform according to various embodiments may comprise a hub device, a plurality of signal boosters, a lead device, and a plurality of group devices. The hub device may be capable of establishing a wireless personal area network (WPAN) and configured to broadcast a signal based on the WPAN. The plurality of signal boosters may be coupled to each other in a daisy-chain configuration and configured to broadcast the signal within a broad geographic area. The lead device may comprise a lead mobile application operating on the lead device and configured to connect the lead device to the WPAN. Each group device may comprise a group mobile application operating on the group device and configured to connect the group device to the WPAN and establish a communication link between the group device and the lead device.

Abstract: Light from a laser diode is coupled into a fiber ring to narrow the line width. In one embodiment, Rayleigh backscattered light from the fiber is returned to the laser diode, and has the effect of greatly narrowing the diode output. In another embodiment the fiber ring is a double core ring, or a ring of plural spatially contiguous fibers. The laser diode is coupled into one core to narrow its line width, while the line-narrowed output is applied to another core which serves as a sensing device such as a gyro. Minimal or no compensation is needed to track the laser frequency to the ring resonance. In one embodiment, the first core is doped to produce a gain medium which lases at a center frequency that tracks the resonance of the sensing core as it drifts due to environmental effects.

Abstract: An axial gyroscopic pointing reference for mounting on optics within an internally cooled telescope a resonant fiber optic gyroscope, in which the elements of the fiber optic gyroscope are cryogenically cooled with the same system that cryogenically cools the telescope optical elements. In one specific configuration the pointing reference includes three orthogonally positioned resonant fiber optic gyroscopes supported in a tetrahedron configuration and cryogenically cooled by the telescope cooling system.
