  • Publication number: 20130259609
Abstract: A truss lifter and stabilizer that allows a single individual to install, lift and secure trusses. The truss lifter and stabilizer is installed to an already secured truss. Then a new truss is attached to the truss lifter and stabilizer and lifted into place. The loose attachment of the first cleat allows the user to manipulate the truss while still attached to the truss lifter and stabilizer to correctly position the truss for installation. The truss is then secured to the structure. The process is repeated until all of the trusses have been lifted and secured to the structure.

  • Patent number: 5868858
Abstract: Method and apparatus for cleaning a heating, ventilating and air conditioning duct comprising a high pressure air emitting nozzle which is disposable inside the duct and an expansible and contractible draught member, which is responsive to differential pressure being created on opposite sides thereof, for drawing the high pressure air emitting member in a downstream path of travel through the duct. The draught member includes a sheet of fabric which is coupled, at its perimetrical edge portion via a plurality of lines, to the high pressure air emitting nozzle. The perimetrical edge of the fabric sheet, in its expanded condition, is spaced from a confronting portion of the duct via a low pressure, high velocity air zone which causes the draught member to move in a to-and-fro transverse path as it is moved downstream. A strip of abrasive material is provided along the perimeter of the draught member for wiping the inside of the duct as it moves to-and-fro downstream.

  • Patent number: 4141753
Abstract: Method and apparatus for the in situ, internal cleaning of a hollow, variable diameter, air and dirt evacuation duct which is coupled to a vacuum creating system. The apparatus comprises a fluid emitting member receivable in the duct for dislodging dirt and scale which might accumulate on the inside wall of the duct. Mechanism is provided for drawing the fluid emitting member through the duct including a line, coupled to the fluid emitting member, passing from the inlet to the outlet of the duct. An expansible and contractible member is received by the duct and is responsive to a differential pressure being created by the vacuum creating system to expand outwardly into intimate engagement with the internal wall of the duct and to move in a downstream direction whereby the line and fluid emitting member are moved through the duct.
