  • Patent number: 5069294
Abstract: A powered spinning tiller with a box beam extending transversely of the direction of travel includes a plurality of spinners each consisting of a prong holder and a drive gear disposed rotatably on bearings side by side, adjacent prong holders being driven to rotate in opposite directions by the gear drive. In order to create an economical method of constructing a spinning tiller by the simplest means, provision is made for each spinner to be journaled on only one bearing and/or bearing ring which is situated in a single plane.

  • Patent number: 5069295
Abstract: A cultivating tool for a soil cultivating machine includes a holder adapted to be mounted on a rotatable shaft and having a generally U-shaped channel receiving a working implement. A pin is disposed in the channel, and the implement has a hook which receives the pin. Cooperable retainers in the channel and on the implement are cooperable for retaining the implement in the channel, the implement being mountable on the holder by hooking the hook on the pin and effecting engagement between the retainers, the implement being demountable from the holder by disengaging the retainers from the implement and unhooking the hook from the pin.

  • Patent number: 4889190
Abstract: The soil working machine, especially a circular spike harrow, includes a support housing (2) which extends perpendicular to the running direction (1), several soil working tools (3) disposed next to one another at the support housing (2), tool supports (4) asociated with each of the soil working tools (3), a driveshaft (6) connected to the tool support (4) and rotatably mounted in the support housing (2), and a rotational drive for the tool supports (4). The rotational drive has a gear wheel transmission (10) disposed in the support housing (2), the gear wheel transmission (10) having one gear wheel (11) for each tool support (4), the gear wheel (11) being rotatably mounted on a hub body (12) which is affixed on the drivehsaft (6) in a non-rotating fashion. The gear wheel (11) is coupled to the hub body (12) by a catching device (14, 25) which is under a spring pretension and which can be temporarily released in case of overload.

  • Patent number: 4390070
Abstract: A machine for cultivating the soil has a main transverse beam carrying a transverse tool-shaft driven to drive wobble bearings on the tool-shaft, thereby to oscillate a plurality of tool holders having lever arms guided for transverse swinging movement in the beam. The tool holders mount the tines by substantially U-shaped elements of spring metal, each having its arched portion pointing in the direction of travel with the lower free limb connected to a tine and the upper free limb connected to a lever. The U-shaped elements are configured at the arched portion to have a width such as to have the forward portions of the elements in the direction of travel sweep in their transverse rocking movement a virtually continuous area extending over substantially the entire width of the main beam.

  • Patent number: 4235294
Abstract: A machine for cultivating the soil has a main transverse beam carrying a transverse tool shaft driven to drive wobble bearings on the tool shaft, thereby to oscillate a plurality of tool holders having lever arms guided for transverse swinging movement in the beam. The tool holders mount the tines directly in tapered bores in the tool holders. The tines are secured to the tool holders by bolts threaded into the upper ends of the tines and are provided with break sections, to protect the tool holders.

  • Patent number: 4202415
Abstract: A machine for cultivating the soil has a main transverse beam carrying a transverse tool shaft, and a gear box for driving the tool shaft. The beam has a frame for attaching the machine to the conventional three-point hydraulic system of a tractor, the tractor power take-off shaft then being connected to drive the tool shaft via the gear box. To enable the machine to be constructed in various widths and to facilitate its assembly and transportation, the main beam is in two half portions interconnected by the gear box housing. Likewise the tool shaft is in half shaft portions driven by a common, hollow gear box drive shaft. The gear box itself is formed in upper and lower portions, the upper portion of which is interchangeable with a different gear ratio portion to suit different tractor power take-off speeds. The gear box drive shaft has a rearwardly projecting drive shaft portion for driving further equipment to be used in combination with the machine.
