Abstract: There is provided a support device 1 capable of being engaged with a sanitary appliance 20 so as to define an aid for using the sanitary appliance 20 itself, particularly suitable for the elderly, disabled and/or infirm. The support device comprises a support body 2 having a rest surface 7 facing upward in conditions of normal use of the device 1 and a lower surface 8 opposite the rest surface 7; the support body 2 is substantially “U”-shaped and has a first substantially rectilinear portion 3, a second substantially rectilinear portion 4 which is parallel to said first portion 3, as well as a curvilinear connecting portion 5 that connects said rectilinear portions 3, 4 to each other. The support device is provided with a plurality of suction cups 6 constrained to the support body 2 on the lower surface 8 thereof and capable of removably engaging said device 1 with said sanitary appliance 20.
