Abstract: A tool for use in cutting drywall is provided. The tool is comprised of a plate with at least one indentation it the top edge of the plate. The tool is placed flush against a piece of drywall so that the drywall may be cut with indentations matching the at least one indentation in the top edge of the plate. In a further embodiment of the invention, a plurality of the plates are joined together. A method for cutting at least one indentation in a plate comprising placing the plate against drywall and cutting the drywall to match the at least one indentation.
