  • Publication number: 20230394538
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described that are configured for dynamically adjusting the governance structure for cryptographically secured instruments. One or more parameters associated with an indication of an ownership of at least one digital asset of a plurality of assets. An attribute associated with each digital asset maybe adjusted based on the one or more parameters associated with the at least one indication of the ownership of the at least one digital asset of the plurality of digital assets.

  • Patent number: 10457810
Abstract: A product is provided comprising at least one densified biomass particulate having a substantially smooth, non-flakey outer surface and containing no added binder, wherein said densified biomass particulate is comprised of a plurality of pretreated lignin-coated plant biomass fibers which contain a trace amount of base from pretreatment of said fibers. Methods for using and making the product are also described.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 15, 2013
Date of Patent: October 29, 2019
Assignee: BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY
Inventors: Bruce E. Dale, Bryan Ritchie, Derek Marshall
  • Patent number: 9039792
Abstract: A process is provided comprising subjecting a quantity of plant biomass fibers to a pretreatment to cause at least a portion of lignin contained within each fiber to move to an outer surface of said fiber, wherein a quantity of pretreated tacky plant biomass fibers is produced; and densifying the quantity of pretreated tacky plant biomass fibers to produce one or more densified biomass particulates, wherein said biomass fibers are densified without using added binder.

  • Patent number: 8673031
Abstract: A product comprising at least one densified biomass particulate of a given mass having no added binder and comprised of a plurality of lignin-coated plant biomass fibers is provided, wherein the at least one densified biomass particulate has an intrinsic density substantially equivalent to a binder-containing densified biomass particulate of the same given mass and h a substantially smooth, non-flakey outer surface. Methods for using and making the product are also described.

  • Publication number: 20080008035
Abstract: There is provided herein a system and method of collecting, EM data in the context(s) of hydrocarbon exploration, appraisal, development, and surveillance, which provides improved ground coupling between the electrodes and the earth or surface ice and, as a consequence, a higher quality transmitted and received signal is obtained thereby. Where the surface of the ground is saturated and frozen (e.g., in the case of a survey conducted on sea ice or frozen tundra), the survey instruments (sources and receivers) may be coupled more faithfully to the surface by drilling or melting holes into the ice (or frozen tundra) and inserting electrodes into the resulting holes. Each hole may (or may not) be lined with material to retard the loss of water therefrom. Preferably, each of the holes (source and receiver) will be filled with water (fresh or salt) before data collection begins.

  • Patent number: 6625888
Abstract: A pruning device includes a blade mounting jaw and an opposing jaw. A blade is removably mounted on a blade mounting portion of the blade mounting jaw to cut vegetation positioned between the jaws as the jaws are closed. A blade retainer is movable between a blade retaining and blade releasing positions with respect to the blade mounting portion and has a forward blade engaging portion. In its blade retaining position, the blade retainer secures the blade to the blade mounting portion. A forward edge portion of the blade is received between the forward blade engaging portion and the blade mounting portion. A rearward blade engaging structure and the blade mounting portion support a rearward portion of the blade. In its releasing position, the blade retainer releases the blade for replacement. Grip portions are operatively connected to the jaws to open and close the jaws.
