  • Publication number: 20230379625
Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to electronic devices having speakers. An electronic device may operate the speaker to generate audio output at one or more resonance frequencies of the speaker and/or the electronic device. This can allow the electronic device to generate particularly loud audio outputs while reducing the power consumption used to generate those audio outputs. In order, for example, to help ensure that the audio output is generated at the resonance frequencies, the electronic device can determine the resonance frequencies prior to generating the audio outputs. For example, the electronic device may determine resonance frequencies by obtaining one or more electrical characteristics of an electronic component while operating the speaker, and determine the resonance frequencies based on the obtained electrical characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20200358765
Abstract: In some implementations, a controller device can implement communication restriction configurations on a managed device operated by a first user with a first account identifier, the configurations designed to limit a feature or functionality of the managed device. For example, the controller device can remotely cause the managed device to limit the communication capabilities of the first device. For example, the first device receives a message including the configuration. The managed device determines that the communication restriction configuration is created by a second user of the controller device. The first device identifies a second account identifier for the controller device. The first device determines that the second account identifier represents a member of a family group that includes the first account identifier.

  • Patent number: 10802838
Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device can present dynamic graphical user interface previews of an application on a display of the computing device. For example, cached graphical user interface (GUI) content can be dynamically generated in response to receiving application data update information for the corresponding application. The computing device can dynamically determine a portion of the cached GUI content to present on a display of the computing device. For example, the cached GUI content can be an image that is larger than the display of the computing device. The computing device can generate a GUI preview based a portion of the cached GUI content that fits on the display of the computing device based on an indication of which portion of the cached GUI content the user wishes to view and present the preview on the display of the computing device.
