    Abstract: A restrainer for mounting on the head of a horse is in the form of a generally oval shaped rigid, toroidal like member dimensioned and configured to slidably fit over the facial crest of the nose, under the lower jaw and intermediate the nose tip and eyes of a horse. Attachments are affixed to opposite sides of the rigid member and straps affixed to the attachments extend behind the head of the horse to retain the member on the horse's nose.

    Abstract: A holder for a trotline, the trotline having a plurality of spaced leader attached thereto, each leader having a fishhook secured to the free end thereof, each fishhook having a shank portion with an eye at one end for receiving the attachment of the free end of the leader and a curved portion at the opposite end of the shank portion with a barb adjacent a terminal pointed end of the curved portion, the trotline holder having a body horizontally extending elongated hollow having an open slot extending the length of the body, the body having an open front, and including a vertical support within the body and an elongated horizontal shelf affixed to an upper end of the vertical support, the trotline fishhooks being received on the shelf with the barbs positioned below the shelf and with the shank portion of each fishhook extending downwardly through the body open slot.

    Abstract: The hoof alignment apparatus for measuring the size and determining the shape of a horse's hoof. The apparatus comprises a pair of pivotal arms which may be closed around the outer hoof wall whereby longitudinal and circumferential measurements may be made of the hoof. The apparatus includes a straightedge member for determining the hoof length at various positions around the hoof and for measuring the angle of the wall with respect to the base of the hoof.

    Abstract: A horseshoe bending apparatus having a multi-purpose forming plate whereby steel bar stock segments may be pulled around the outside edges of one side of the forming plate to form a rounded shoe conforming to the shape of a horse's front hoof. The stock may also be pulled around the opposite side of the forming plate to form an elliptical shaped shoe conforming to a horse's rear hoof. The apparatus includes clamping means used as a work vise for finishing out a horseshoe.
