Abstract: A secure box is for storing a product. The box has a generally tubular sleeve defining a through passage, a planar divider extending across said passage, a belt member extending around said divider, a tab member extending into said passage, and a tray member extending into said passage. The tab member is attached to the belt member and has a first gripping portion. The tray member is attached to the belt member and has a first push area and a first space for storing a product. The sleeve has a first main panel, a second main panel and two side panels each connecting the first and second main panels. The box is configured to move from a closed position, through a first partially open position to a first open position.

Abstract: A tab member for use in a latchable slidable package. The tab member has opposed major faces connected by opposed side edges and comprises a body portion and a cut out defining a resiliently deformable latch member connected to the body portion by at least one live hinge. The latch member incorporates a latch formation that is moveable by a user in an unlatching direction substantially orthogonal to at least one side edge. The tab member is substantially planar, and the unlatching direction lies substantially in a plane of the tab member. The tab member can be incorporated into a latchable slidable package to provide child resistance by virtue of the latch member and the latch formation. The substantially planar nature of the tab member means that the tab member can be easily accommodated in the package.

The tab members (14, 16) are attached to the belt (42) by respective bonds (45, 46), the movement of the tab members (14, 16) in either direction being delimited by at least one bond reaching an end of the belt path; and when at least one of the tab members is in a closed position, said bond is positioned inwardly from the ends of the belt path so that said tab member can move in both the first and second directions from the closed position before the bond reaches an end of the belt path to delimit said movement.

Abstract: A box for use in packaging comprises a tubular sleeve (10) defining a through passage, a planar divider (12) extending across the passage, a drive belt (50) which passes around the divider, a tray (40) and a pull-out tab member (41) each extending into the passage and attached to the drive belt. In the closed position the tray (40) and tab member (41) are fully inside the tubular sleeve. When the tab member (41) is pulled out of the sleeve (10) in a first direction, the drive belt (50) is forced to slide around the divider and the tray (40) moves out of the sleeve (10) in the opposite direction. The tray (40) can be used to house any consumer product, for example CDs, confectionery, pharmaceuticals. The tab member (41) can be used to convey information to the consumer.
