  • Patent number: 10730248
Abstract: A method for producing a component from a fiber-composite material, wherein a plurality of fiber-tape pieces, which each comprise a thermoplastic fiber-tape piece matrix with fiber-tape-piece fibers embedded therein, are provided, the fiber-tape pieces are picked up in the solid state and arranged so as to form a fiber-tape pattern, a backing layer, which comprises a thermoplastic backing-layer matrix with backing-layer fibers embedded therein, is provided and heated such that the backing-layer matrix softens or melts, a preform is formed from the backing layer and the fiber-tape pattern in that the fiber-tape pattern is applied in the solid state to the heated backing layer and is heated thereby so that the fiber-tape-piece matrices soften or melt such that the preform is in a deformable state in which both the backing-layer matrix and the fiber-tape-piece matrices have been softened or melted, the preform in the deformable state is deformed.

  • Publication number: 20170106838
Abstract: An actuation pedal of a motor vehicle includes a pedal body, an adjustment apparatus and a mount for mounting the adjustment apparatus to the pedal body. The pedal body includes a beam and a filling material, the filling material formed by stiffening members arranged in the interior of the beam. An adjustment apparatus includes an adjustable actuation tread. The mount is surrounded by the beam and formed by a cylindrical cut-out at a side of the beam facing the actuation tread and by a corresponding hollow cylindrical portion in the filling material.

  • Publication number: 20150033905
Abstract: The invention relates to a control pedal (1), in particular for a motor vehicle. The control pedal (1) is characterized by a pedal arm (3) which has in the lengthwise direction (5) at least one organo-sheet reinforcement part (7) with a cross-sectional area (17) that is open perpendicular to the lengthwise direction (5) of the pedal arm (3). The open cross-sectional area (17) of the at least one organo-sheet reinforcement part (7) is at least in sections dosed by a cover part (9) for increasing the bending stiffness and the torsional stiffness.

  • Patent number: 6209416
Abstract: A safety device for supporting a pedal in a motor vehicle and which includes a bearing support for supporting a pedal shaft of the pedal and arranged between a front wall of the motor vehicle which is noticeably deformed inward into a passenger compartment during a frontal collision of the motor vehicle, and a cross-member which is located in the passenger compartment in a spaced relationship with respect to the front wall, is secured to a motor vehicle body, and does not substantially change a spacial position thereof during the frontal collision, with the bearing support including radially open recesses in which the pedal shaft is supported, and with the safety device further including a brace which lifts the pedal shaft of the recesses of the bearing support in case of the frontal collision and which has one of its ends supported against the front wall and another of its ends engaging the pedal shaft support forming part of the bearing support.
