  • Publication number: 20240153513
Abstract: A complex number quantization-based audio signal encoding method may comprise: estimating a scale factor for each subband of an input audio signal; performing complex magnitude scaling for each subband based on the scale factor; and performing polar quantization on a complex frequency coefficient for each subband, wherein the performing the polar quantization for each subband comprises applying two or more different magnitude quantization techniques based on the magnitude of the complex frequency coefficient scaled for each subband.

  • Publication number: 20080094516
Abstract: A camera apparatus having a digital image processing function for an analog transmission network is provided. The camera apparatus divides each of frames of first resolution digital image data into N equal regions, converting each frame of the digital image data into N fields by interlacing the regions in order of region numbers, and transmitting the N fields through the analog transmission network. High resolution image data of HDTV class created by the camera apparatus can be reproduced on an image display apparatus by using analog transmission networks laid for transmitting analog image data conforming to the analog NTSC, PAL, or SECAM standard without any change.

  • Publication number: 20040184773
Abstract: An emergency voice communication technique through the Internet using a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) Internet phone between a central control center and a digital video recorder or between remotely located digital video recorders. The operator of the digital video recorder immediately calls the Internet phone of a predetermined remote workstation only by lifting the handset of the Internet phone connected to the digital video recorder when an alarm event is generated in the digital video recorder. If an alarm event occurs in the remote workstation, the operator of the remote workstation immediately calls the Internet phone of the digital video recorder by lifting the handset of the Internet phone connected to the remote workstation. VoIP communication between remotely located digital video recorders can be carried out through a network or the Internet using Internet phones connected to the digital video recorders.

  • Publication number: 20040184531
Abstract: A dual moving picture compression method that executes both moving picture compression for displaying a moving picture with high picture quality in real-time and moving picture compression for recording the moving picture at a high compression ratio and a low speed. A network camera and a network DVR are employed. The network camera includes two moving picture encoders that dually compress an image to transmit them to a network. The network DVR receives the dually compressed image to display the image on a monitor in real time and simultaneously records the image at a high compression ratio and a low speed. Accordingly, the requirements for teal-time moving picture display and long-term recording can be simultaneously satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20040175123
Abstract: A network digital video recorder system includes a plurality of network cameras, each of which is embedded with a switching hub that transmits a compressed video data packet from the network camera to the Ethernet. The switching hub embedded in the network camera multiplexes a compressed video data packet produced by the network camera, and a compressed data packet output by another (e.g., adjacent or neighboring) network camera, to up-link the multiplexed data packets to yet another neighboring network camera. Accordingly, video and audio data can be transmitted to a network digital video recorder through an Ethernet without cascading multiple dedicated hubs.

  • Patent number: 6442019
Abstract: A computer having a built-in mouse rack moving back and forth from the housing of the computer is provided. The built-in mouse rack can be implemented either as a drawer or as a motor-driven sliding rack. The built-in mouse rack may be used with an industrial computer under the circumstances where the workspace for a mouse is not available.
