  • Publication number: 20160360512
Abstract: A method is provided for receiving a downlink signal at a downlink reception entity in a wireless communication system. Downlink control information is received by demodulating a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) in a first resource block (RB) pair within an RB bundle by using a first Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) in the first RB pair. Further, downlink data is received by demodulating a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) in one or more second RB pairs within the RB bundle by using a second DMRS in the one or more second RB pairs. The second DMRS is used based on an assumption that a same precoder is applied to the one or more second RB pairs.

  • Patent number: 9480006
Abstract: Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate searches for a cell in a wireless communication environment. A mobile device can employ a searcher that can detect timing information respectively associated with PSCs and cells to determine the cell with the highest correlation. The searcher can detect SSCs, which can include detecting associated phase information, to determine the SSC with the highest correlation, CP length, and/or other information to facilitate identifying a desired cell having the strongest signal to establish communication between the mobile device and the desired cell. PSCs respectively associated with cells can have different positions in the symbol sequences, and SSCs can respectively be phase shifted at different angles to facilitate detection and identification of a cell(s), where a PSC can be utilized as a phase reference by the associated SSC.

  • Publication number: 20160248614
Abstract: A method of decoding a backhaul downlink signal is presented. A relay node (RN) receives a higher layer signal indicating a maximum transmission rank from a base station (BS), receives control information containing a resource allocation for downlink data through a relay control channel from the BS, demodulates the control information, and receives the downlink data through a data channel based on the control information. The control information is mapped to resource elements (REs) which do not overlap with user equipment-specific reference signal (URS) REs in a control region which is used for the relay control channel transmission of the BS. The URS REs are reserved REs for URSs according to the maximum transmission rank.
