Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a hollow body of a touch pen and the touch pen having a head rotatably fixed to the hollow body. The head includes a specific-length fixed shaft and one or more rotation washers through which the shaft passes and which can self-rotate, wherein the fixed shaft includes a magnet having a polarity different from that of a magnetic material disposed in a vicinity of a pen mounting hole for inserting the touch pen of the electronic device, and if the touch pen is abnormally inserted, the head can rotate to a normal insertion location by an attractive force between the magnet and the magnetic material.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a structure for inserting a card-type external device. The electronic device includes a case frame, a slot, a first unit, a second unit, and an external device. The slot is formed in the case frame and has a certain size. The first unit is disposed at a location corresponding to the slot inside the electronic device. The second unit corresponds to the slot inside the electronic device and is installed around the first unit. The external device is detachably mounted in the first unit through the slot.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for switching a screen in an electronic device that uses a transparent display are provided. In the method, a state where a front direction of the electronic device is reversed from a first direction to a second direction, and a back direction of the electronic device is reversed from the second direction to the first direction are detected. When a front side and a backside of the electronic device are reversed, a left/right reversed screen or an up/down reversed screen is displayed.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a main frame, an opening portion formed in the main frame, a recess portion formed along a frame of the opening portion lower than a surface of the main frame, and a plate having frames seated on the recess portion, wherein at least one of the frames of the plate is formed of a curved portion that is curved inwardly. Accordingly, it is possible to absorb an external impact and prevent deformation just by a simple structure change of the plate.

Abstract: A UniDirectional (UD) preimpregnated material (prepreg) and method of production are provided. A plurality of reinforced fibers are arranged in one direction. At least one auxiliary fiber is arranged such that it crosses the plurality of reinforced fibers to maintain the arrangement of the plurality of reinforced fibers. The plurality of reinforced fibers and the at least one auxiliary fiber are impregnated with a coupling material, and the coupling material is cured with the plurality of reinforced fibers and the at least one auxiliary fiber.

Abstract: Disclosed is a pen-like input device for a portable terminal which can provide the function of a wireless headset. The input device includes a housing configured with at least first and second spaced apart microphone holes formed therein. A transmitting/receiving (T/R) module is disposed inside the housing and coupled to the microphone element and a speaker. The T/R module transmits/receives communication signals to and from the portable terminal. A sound transferring part is provided within the housing to transfer sounds to a microphone element via a plurality of air pathways connected to the first and second microphone holes.

Abstract: A portable terminal is provided. The portable terminal includes a mounting member configured to be capable of being attached to/detached from a housing of the portable terminal, a connection member configured to extend from the mounting member and to selectively enclose at least a part of the housing, and a cover element connected to an end of the connection member to open/close a display device installed on the front surface of the housing. The portable terminal provided with the protection cover has an advantage in that the increase of the thickness of the terminal can be minimized because the protection cover may be disposed on a side surface or an edge of the rear surface of the housing by the mounting member.
