Abstract: A system modified so that an axial ram rod, centering jag and configuring die can be used to simultaneously tamp or size a projectile while forming the projectile into a hollow-nose type which mushrooms when configuring a spherical or double-ogival projectile into the mushrooming-type; and a kit comprising a case and sealing lid enabling a user in the field to optionally select a centering jag conforming to the caliber of the weapon being loaded, and for optionally forming a hollow-nose projectile with a "punch" characteristic in accordance with the nature of the target.

Abstract: A gun bore cleaning device serves rods of different diameters with a handle which accommodates to the different rods. The handle has a central through-bore which communicates with an enlarged threaded bore at each of its inboard and outboard ends. The rods are extendable through the central through bore. Each has an end cap fixed thereon at the outboard end thereof for seating in the enlarged bore at the outboard handle end. A threaded inboard end cap is sleevable upon the rod and is threadable into the inboard bore so as to be walked into tight interengagement with the handle. A threaded outboard end cap fits over the end cap and is threadable into the outboard bore so as to be walked into tight interengagement with the handle.

Abstract: A gun cleaner comprises a rod and a patch associated therewith. The rod is an elongated member for extending through a gun barrel and has an outboard terminal of enlarged diameter. The enlarged terminal has a midsection with flattened opposite sides defining depressions extending inboard of the terminal surface and a through patch-receiving opening extending through the midsection. The patch is of a flexible member and has slits on opposite sides which extend inwardly toward the center for facilitating the extending of the patch through the patch-receiving opening in the midsection for the outward flaring of the sides of the patch at opposite sides of the rod.
