  • Patent number: 11990896
Abstract: This application relates to methods and apparatus for driving a transducer with switching drivers. A switching driver has first and second supply node for receiving supply voltages and includes an output bridge stage, a capacitor and a network of switches. The network of switches is operable in different switch states to provide different switching voltages to the output bridge stage. A controller is configured to control the switch state of the network of switches and a duty cycle of output switches of the output bridge stage based on an input signal to generate an output signal for driving the transducer.

  • Publication number: 20110041073
Abstract: An information interaction module (IIM) is described for interacting with information items using a hierarchical taxonomy of key elements. In one mode, the IIM allows a user to specify a key by successively entering a string of key elements which compose the key. At each stage in this operation, the IIM guides the users by identifying a set of key elements that can be entered next. Ultimately, the IIM retrieves an information item that is associated with the specified key. In another mode, the IIM also allows a user to store a new information item by identifying a key associated with the information item. The IIM can be implemented as a standalone browser or as a component within an authoring tool. The information items can have any level of granularity.

  • Publication number: 20090254847
Abstract: A person may interact with visually-presented data in order to specify an analysis to be performed on the data. Data may be presented through a browser or other program in a visual form, such as a chart or graph. The person may interact with the visual presentation of the data in order to choose a specific body of data or a portion thereof. An analysis may be performed on the chosen data. The analysis to be performed may be selected based on features of the data and/or based on the person's indication of which analysis is to be performed. A decision tree may be used to choose the particular analysis to be performed.

  • Publication number: 20070025347
Abstract: One aspect relates to a communication protocol for communicating between one or more entities, such as devices, hosts or any other system capable of communicating over a network. A protocol is provided that allows communication between entities without a priori knowledge of the communication protocol. In such a protocol, for example, information describing a data structure of the communication protocol is transferred between communicating entities. Further, an authentication protocol is provided for providing bidirectional authentication between communicating entities. In one specific example, the entities include a master device and a slave device coupled by a serial link. In another specific example, the communication protocol may be used for performing unbalanced transmission between communicating entities.
