  • Patent number: 11422386
Abstract: Eyeglasses are provided capable of folding into a substantially flat configuration that may be fitted inside a compact case or other narrow space. The eyeglasses may include a frame configured to hold one or more lenses and defining an imaginary plane, at least one temple piece, and at least one hinge connecting the at least one temple piece to the frame, wherein the hinge is configured to rotate the at least one temple piece between a first position extending substantially perpendicular to the imaginary plane defined by the frame, and second position extending substantially parallel to the imaginary plane.

  • Publication number: 20020164777
Abstract: A device for measuring electrophysiological properties of a cell membrane of an individual cell comprises a plate provided with at least one opening. The opening is bounded by a surface and the surface is modified, such as via heat treatment, to facilitate formation of a gigaseal. A chamber is adjacent to the plate. The chamber is in fluid communication with at least one opening and is adapted to hold an electrically conductive solution. The plate further comprises a first electrode located in the chamber and a second electrode located adjacent to the plate.

  • Patent number: 4569814
Abstract: Prior to supplying plastic encapsulant to the reservoir of a mold for the purpose of encapsulating semiconductor devices, pellets of the encapsulant are heated until they become soft. An operator then places the pellets into a preforming chamber where they are compressed to form a softened charge of encapsulant. This charge is then removed from the chamber and placed into the reservoir of the mold.
