  • Publication number: 20120265513
Abstract: Methods and computing systems for generating a protein stability lookup table and a predictive model. These methods and systems are useful for predicting the thermal stability of a protein sequence and for predicting mutations that may enhance the thermal stability of a protein given its amino acid sequence and/or three dimensional structure. The protein stability lookup table and a predictive model are based on a combination and analysis of related protein sequences and, where available, protein structure data, and relative stability data from mesophilic and thermophilic organisms and experimentally determined stability changes of wild type proteins and their mutants.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 9, 2012
    Publication date: October 18, 2012
Inventors: Jianwen Fang, Yunqi Li, C. Russell Middaugh
  • Patent number: 5612313
Abstract: A buffered intravesicular pharmaceutical dosage system for delivery of TGF.alpha.PE.sub.40 ab to a human bladder for bladder cancer chemotherapy, in which a buffer system of 100 mM phosphate at an initial pH of 7.8 maintains a pH range in the bladder of 6.5 to 7.8 that is sufficient to maximize interaction of TGF.alpha.PE.sub.40 ab with the EGF receptor expressed on the surface of bladder cancer cells and to prevent aggregation of the TGF.alpha.PE.sub.40 ab while in the bladder.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5348941
Abstract: Medicinal compositions containing fibroblast growth factor are stabilized against loss of biological activity by including in said composition a stabilizing amount of phytic add, phosvitin, phosphate buffer, (NH.sub.4).sub.6 P.sub.4 O.sub.13, Na.sub.5 P.sub.3 O.sub.10, Na.sub.4 P.sub.2 O.sub.7 and Na.sub.3 P.sub.3 O.sub.9, adenosine tetra, tri, di and mono phosphate and related diadenosine compounds plus other single and multi-phosphorylated mono and di-nucleotides, poly-aspartic acid, poly-adenylic-guanylic add and related compounds, double stranded deoxyribonucleic add, single stranded deoxyfibonucleic acid and poly-glutamic acid.
