  • Publication number: 20240165393
Abstract: Described herein are pumps that linearly reciprocate to assist with circulating blood within the body of a patient. Red blood cell damage may be avoided or minimized by such linear pump movement. The linearly reciprocating movement may also generate a pulsatile pumping cycle that mimics the natural pumping cycle of the heart. The pumps may be configured to reside at various body locations. For example, the pumps may be situated within the right ventricle, the left ventricle, the ascending aorta, the descending aorta, the thoracic aorta, or the abdominal aorta. In some instances, the pump may reside outside the patient.

  • Patent number: 11977891
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for controlling execution of memory access instructions in a block-based processor architecture using a hardware structure that generates a relative ordering of memory access instruction in an instruction block. In one example of the disclosed technology, a method of executing an instruction block having a plurality of memory load and/or memory store instructions includes decoding an instruction block encoding a plurality of memory access instructions and generating data indicating a relative order for executing the memory access instructions in the instruction block and scheduling operation of a portion of the instruction block based at least in part on the relative order data. In some examples, a store vector data register can store the generated relative ordering data for use in subsequent instances of the instruction block.

  • Patent number: 11978005
Abstract: An inventory management system provides automated management of medical item inventory and maintenance of a digital chain of custody for medical items. Medical items are labeled with an RFID-encoded tag that also displays a 2D barcode. The RFID tag and the 2D barcode both encode the same serialized Electronic Product Code (EPC) data for each specific item. Reading of the RFID tag is performed using a fixed or handheld RFID reader. Reading of the 2D barcode is performed using a handheld mobile device, such as a tablet or smart phone. The two-technology label allows for the digital chain of custody to be updated by means of RFID scanning in locations where RFID readers are available and by using a smart phone or tablet to read the 2D barcode in locations where RFID readers are unavailable.
