  • Publication number: 20240131566
Abstract: A dehydrator apparatus for dehydrating biological material. The apparatus includes an external housing, and a vessel supported within said external housing and spanning in a longitudinal direction thereof in elevated relation from a bottom of the housing. A loading inlet feeds into said vessel from outside the housing for admission of biological material. An air intake feeds into the housing to deliver heated air thereto from a hot air source, and air routing components within the external housing guide the heated air into heat exchange relationship with the vessel itself, and also into heating and aerating exposure to contents of said vessel. An agitator is installed in operable relation to the vessel to agitate the material fed thereinto via the material inlet. An exhaust outlet exhausts the heated air from the housing after having heated and aerated the vessel and its contents.

  • Patent number: 11644069
Abstract: An improved adjuster for a clutch having an expanding friction disk. The improved adjuster allows desirable characteristics of a clutch pressure plate to be maintained while allowing an operator to bias the pressure plate into proper position to accommodate the function of the expanding friction disk.

  • Patent number: 11401979
Abstract: An improved clutch hub assembly is disclosed. The improved clutch hub assembly provides improved wear resistance at the interfaces between separator plates and a clutch hub while allowing an operator to have improved clutch lever control and modulation when manually engaging or disengaging the clutch system.

  • Publication number: 20220121940
Abstract: A deep learning-based spectral analysis device and method are disclosed that employs a spectral encoder chip containing a plurality of nanohole array tiles, each with a unique geometry and, thus, a unique optical transmission spectrum. Illumination impinges upon the encoder chip and a CMOS image sensor captures the transmitted light, without any lenses, gratings, or other optical components. A spectral reconstruction neural network uses the transmitted intensities from the image to faithfully reconstruct the input spectrum. In one embodiment that used a spectral encoder chip with 252 nanohole array tiles, the network was trained on 50,352 spectra randomly generated by a supercontinuum laser and blindly tested on 14,648 unseen spectra. The system identified 96.86% of spectral peaks, with a peak localization error of 0.19 nm, peak height error of 7.60%, and peak bandwidth error of 0.18 nm.

  • Patent number: 11169062
Abstract: An example method for identifying an internal flaw in a part produced using additive manufacturing includes calculating a proof load of a part, in which the proof load is a load that when applied to the part will cause the part to fail based on presence of an internal flaw in the part, determining whether the part can withstand the proof load based on a geometry of the part and static strength data, and based on a determination that the part can withstand the proof load, applying the proof load to the part during a compliance test of the part. The proof load causes the part to fracture, when applied to the part, based on presence of the internal flaw in the part that is of a threshold size at which the internal flaw would cause cracking and potential part failure when the part is placed under the operational load.
