  • Patent number: 11894648
Abstract: A dieless crimp head is provided that includes a frame, an indentor, and a first positioning device. The frame has a first frame shell and a second frame shell, which define a frame opening. The indentor converges on a crimp center within the frame opening. The first positioning device has a connector slot defining a connector receipt area. The first positioning device is removably secured in the frame opening of the first frame shell at a use position in which the connector receipt area and the crimp center are aligned with, but offset along, a longitudinal axis of the crimp head.

  • Publication number: 20230335963
Abstract: A dual action hydraulic piston assembly including a cylinder having first and second inlet ports on a first end and an outlet port on a second end, a conduit connected to the first inlet port and extending into the cylinder, an inner ram slidable along an outer surface of the conduit, and an outer ram slidable between the inner ram and the cylinder. The inner and outer rams are configured to move together toward the second end of the cylinder in response to a fluid being displaced via the first inlet port into the conduit, which displaces a second fluid through the outlet port at a first flow rate. The outer ram is configured to move toward the second end of the cylinder in response to a fluid being displaced via the second inlet port, which displaces the second fluid through the outlet port at a second flow rate.

  • Patent number: 11728608
Abstract: A long reach cable cutting tool includes a handle, a motor electrically connectable to a battery, a trigger electrically connected to the motor to provide power from the battery to the motor when the trigger is activated, a pump connected to the motor, the pump is activated to displace a first fluid, a hydraulic actuating system connected to the hydraulic pump, the hydraulic actuating system is movable by the displacement of the first fluid to displace a second fluid, a pole having a first end and a second end, the pole connected to the handle at the first end, and a tool head connected to the pole at the second end, the tool head including a tool head hydraulic actuator hydraulically connected to the hydraulic actuating system, the tool head hydraulic actuator is movable by the displacement of the second fluid to cause relative movement of the actuator with respect to the tool head.

  • Patent number: 11370044
Abstract: The present disclosure provides chain guards for chain saws attached to the end of a long reach pole. The chain guards include a chip deflector and a deflector cover that deflects and channels wood chips away from an operator. The chip deflector includes one or more curved surfaces configured to deflect the wood chips out of the chain guard and away for the operator while minimizing binding of the wood chips with the chain.

  • Patent number: 9314857
Abstract: A cutting tool with first and second pivoted shearing blades has a guide member mounted to the first blade for transverse movement relative to the first blade and toward and away from the second blade. The guide member has a transverse restraining surface that confronts a transverse guided surface of the second blade during cutting of a workpiece to resist axial separation of the cutting edges away from the cutting plane. A yieldable, resettable mechanism enables release of an uncut cable captured by the guide member in the event the planned cut is in error or must be postponed. Examples include a ball detent, a magnet, an over-center extension spring arrangement and a torsion spring.
