  • Patent number: 8353070
Abstract: A collapsible rail system for attachment to a variety of surfaces such as a fluoroscopy or radiographic table and easily extended into a raised position or retracted into a lowered position which is flush with the surface. The collapsible rail system generally includes an upper rail, a lower rail and a plurality of post members, wherein each of the post members is pivotally connected to both the upper rail and the lower rail so as to allow the upper rail to collapse onto the lower rail. The lock plate is positioned within a lower channel of the lower rail for locking the rail assembly in an upright position.
