  • Patent number: 11800843
Abstract: Provided herein are rose plants such as cut roses, garden roses and pot roses having at least two genes providing resistance to a pathogen causing powdery mildew. Specifically, provided herein are rose plants resistant to the powdery mildew causing pathogen Podosphaera pannosa also known as Sphaerotheca pannosa var. rosae. Also provided herein are methods for selecting the present powdery mildew rose plants. The present rose plants are characterized by including in their nuclear genome at least one nucleotide sequence represented by SEQ ID No. 1 and at least one nucleotide sequence represented by SEQ ID No. 2 wherein the combined presence of SEQ ID No. 1 and SEQ ID No. 2 provides powdery mildew resistance.

  • Patent number: 11659806
Abstract: Provided herein are plants belonging to the family of the Solanaceae such as plants of the genus Petunia and/or Calibrachoa and especially to Petunia plants which plants are resistant to the plant pathogen Tobamovirus amongst which the plant pathogens Tobacco mosaic virus, Tomato mosaic virus, Tobacco mild green mosaic virus and Pepper mild mottle virus. Further provided herein are methods for identifying Tobamovirus resistant plants of the Solanaceae family. Specifically, the present invention relates to plants belonging to the Solanaceae family, which plants are resistant to Tobamovirus and which plants comprise in its genome SEQ ID No. 1 and/or SEQ ID No. 3.

  • Publication number: 20230025786
Abstract: Provided herein are rose plants including one or more resistance genes to Agrobacterium tumefaciens. Also provided herein are plant parts, cells or reproductive tissue of the plants disclosed herein and to methods for identifying Agrobacterium tumefaciens resistant rose plants. Specifically, provided herein is an Agrobacterium tumefaciens resistant rose plant, wherein the Agrobacterium tumefaciens resistance is provided by one or more genes located in linkage group 7 (LG7) of the diploid rose consensus map between 56 to 58.5 Mb and especially one or more genes selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos. 1 to 5.
