Patent number: 7741408Abstract: A novel flooring composition was developed based on a blend comprising: a) an elastomer; b) a random propylene/alpha-olefin copolymer; c) a cross linking agent; and optionally d) a melt strength enhancing polymer. This composition achieves a unique balance of properties, exhibiting often-conflicting performance requirements. These include low gloss and excellent pattern duplication in embossing, low modulus, minimal odor, excellent grain acceptance and abrasion resistance, while remaining thermoformable and maintaining minimal shift in viscosity during recycle.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2004Date of Patent: June 22, 2010Assignee: Dow Global Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Brian W. Patent number: 4901288Abstract: A small sonobuoy for dropping without a parachute and quickly deploying hydrophones is cylindrical and adapted to float with its axis parallel to the water. The hydrophone cable is wrapped around the housing so that the housing rotates as the cable is payed out. The antenna is also wrapped around the housing and is released after the cable is fully deployed. A retainer covering the coiled cable and the stored hydrophones is held in place by a releasable pin which is released by an electrical device activated by a sea water sensitive switch. The device heats a resistor which melts a lanyard which releases the pin.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 1988Date of Patent: February 13, 1990Assignee: Sparton CorporationInventors: Carl F.
