  • Patent number: 9278237
Abstract: A mobile firefighting station includes a trailer having opposed ends and a platform therebetween. The trailer may include an axle and wheels so as to be mobile. The mobile firefighting station includes firefighting equipment such as a water tank, a foam fire retardant tank, a water hose with nozzle, and a water cannon operatively interconnected and operated by a fluid delivery assembly. The fluid delivery assembly includes a pump to pressurize a fluid stream. An electricity generator is positioned on the platform and electrically connected to components requiring electricity. The apparatus includes a communications module electrically connected to the generator and having a wireless internet connection and a user interface such that tank fluid levels, fuel levels, maintenance records, weather data, and active fire details are selectively communicated to a remote location using the wireless internet connection.

  • Patent number: 6318499
Abstract: A composite scaffolding plank made from a plurality of wooden boards positioned in side to side parallel abutment. At least one of such boards is a whole natural wooden board, and at least one of such boards is a laminated wooden board. A plurality of spaced pins extend transversely through the wooden boards. A cam means on the pins pulls and holds the boards together. In addition, my invention is a method of forming wide wooden planks from two or more narrow wooden boards (as described) by positioning the boards in side to side parallel abutment and embedding a plurality of spaced pins transversely through the boards. Further, a method of increasing the strength of a wooden plank is to cut the plank longitudinally into sections, add at least one laminated wooden board, position the sections in side to side parallel abutment, and subsequently embed a plurality of spaced pins in the sections.

  • Patent number: 4730238
Abstract: A multiple layer connection system for compactly connecting a plurality of surface mount integrated circuit packages to a printed circuit board is disclosed. A plurality of staggered metal legs is respectively inserted into a plurality of slots formed along an edge of an intermediate plastic sheet. A first outside sheet and a second outside sheet sandwich the intermediate sheet between themselves. The first outside sheet has a plurality of foil conductors formed on an inside layer thereof to connect with a first portion of the staggered legs. A plurality of feed through holes are in electrical connection with the first conductive traces and with a plurality of first outside foil traces which are connectable by soldering to the legs of a surface mount integrated circuit package. A second plurality of inside foil traces is formed on an inside layer of the second plastic sheet and contacts a second group of the legs.
