Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer storage media for providing a dynamically weighted unobserved component model (“DW-UCM”) in a demand forecasting engine of a data analytics system. Dynamic weighting is performed based on a machine learning framework that includes tools, interfaces, and a library for developing improved machine learning models (e.g., dynamic demand forecasting models) of a dynamic weighting machine learning pipeline. In particular, the dynamic weighting machine learning pipeline can include a first module that is configured to predict if a segment (e.g., travel segment) under evaluation is open or closed (e.g., due to a restriction or rule), a second module that forecasts near-term recovery (e.g., approx. 0 - 4 weeks), and a third module that predicts longer term recovery.

The aggregation and analysis includes a method and system for evaluating a patent or patent application and proposed claim text by examining claim related information maintained in databases as well as image related information maintained in databases. The method includes deriving unique signatures of individual claims and ascertaining scope of individual claims relative to other claims in a collection, such as claims found in a classification schema and also deriving unique characteristics from images and ascertaining the scope of similarity between the images. A signature and scope of the patent claims and images may be graphically depicted to a user using various graphic elements in a user interface.

Abstract: Techniques for utilizing a virtual agent for the retrieval and analysis of information are described. A virtual agent device initiates an interactive communication session with a user. As part of the interactive communication session, the virtual agent device receives a query from the user. The virtual agent device generates a response to the query based on a fact set from which the computing device obtains data for the response, a global rule set, and a local rule set. The virtual agent device applies the global rule set and the local rule set to the data to refine the response according to a context of the interactive communication session. The virtual agent device outputs the response that includes the refinements made according to the global and local rule sets, such as a natural language output via a speaker of the virtual agent device.
