Abstract: A hydraulically or pneumatically powered toilet assist lift device for use by disabled persons is described that includes a frame having a forward end and a rearward end for placement around a toilet commode, the frame having a lower frame portion for attachment to the floor surface that supports the commode and an upper frame portion hingedly attached to the lower frame portion at the forward end thereof, a toilet seat attached to the upper frame portion, and a pair of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders interconnecting the upper frame portion with the lower frame portion at the rearward end thereof whereby operation the cylinders rotates the upper frame portion between a lowered position and a raised position.
