  • Patent number: 5715042
Abstract: Method and apparatus for determining the position of a mobile vehicle with a receiver, through a triangulation based on angular data obtained by processing directive electromagnetic signals emitted by fixed rotating transmitters. The method includes: dividing the 360.degree. of the rotation into 2.sup.n angular values; generating a coding sequence of 2.sup.n binary configurations made up of 2.sup.n +(n-1) bits; generating a coding pattern wherein said angular values are coded; storing said coding pattern in the transmitters and in the receiver; starting the rotations of the two transmitters at a correlated, constant speed; transmitting the angular data corresponding to the direction of emission of the beams; demodulating the signals detected by the receiver and obtaining the coded angular values; and calculating the vehicle position by using the latest mean angular values obtained from the signals.

  • Patent number: 4457931
Abstract: Compounds of formula I ##STR1## are described in which R is an aryl, substituted aryl, aralkyl or heterocyclic radical; R.sup.1 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms; A is a saturated, aliphatic hydrocarbon chain, which is linear or branched; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are the same or different and are hydrogen, linear or branched alkyl, aryl, substituted aryl or together with the nitrogen atom to which they are connected and together with y form a ring wherein y is a methylene group or a heteroatom, which is selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur; R.sup.4 is hydrogen or linear or branched alkyl; X is halogen or an organic or inorganic anion; n is 0; 1; 2; 3 or in the case of a bifunctional acid, n is equal to 0.5; 1.5; 2.5 and their enantiomers and diestereoisomers. Several methods of preparation of the novel compounds are described.

  • Patent number: 4420482
Abstract: The present invention concerns compounds of the general formula ##STR1## wherein X represents a direct linkage or a linear or branched oxyalkyl group containing one or more carbon atoms, as well as pharmaceutically acceptable salts of such compounds wherein X represents an oxyalkyl group, methods for their preparation by reaction of either piperazine or of its 1,4-bis-hydroxyalkyl derivatives with activated derivatives of acetylsalicylic acid such as halogenides, symmetric or mixed anhydrides, or with a haloalkylester of acetylsalicylic acid, and related pharmaceutical compositions having use as antipyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-histaminic agents.
