Abstract: A unit for making pre-shaped absorbent pads for sanitary items is equipped with a continuous conveyor belt with an operating branch which defines a line for pad forming and feed; the branch extends along a straight path, along which there are three successive stations for feeding absorbent material and a plurality of seats designed to accept and retain a given quantity of the absorbent material.

Abstract: A device for loading storage containersfor elongated articles, particularly tobacco products, wherein a feedbox for the articles presents an output window facing a horizontal platefor supporting an orderly mass of articles; the output window is defined by the side by side output openings of a number of side by side channels for respective columns of articles; the horizontal plate is movable vertically along a storage container positioned with its input opening facing the output window, and presents side by side seats on top for respective articles; each output opening faces a rib separating two respective adjacent seats on the horizontal plate;and the channels are all inclined to the same side in relation to the plate.

Abstract: A rigid hinged-lid packet for elongated items, particularly cigarettes; the packet being formed by folding a flat blank defined by a number of panels aligned with one another and each presenting two lateral wings; a first and second panel defining the front wall of a collar and the front wall of the container of the packet, and being connected to each other by an appendix foldable inside the second panel; a third and fourth panel defining the rear wall of the container and the rear wall of the lid of the container and the rear wall of the lid of the container; each wing of the third panel and the corresponding wing of the fourth panel defining a recess engaged by a first portion of the corresponding wing of the first panel; and a second portion of each wing contacting the inner surface of the corresponding wing of the panel, and being gripped between the wing and the corresponding wing of the panel.

Abstract: In a cigarette packet that consists of a single wrapper with an easy opening tear ribbon, applied to the inside surface, the wrapper exhibits break lines coinciding one with each longitudinal edge of the ribbon, and incisions positioned to coincide with the opposite ends of the ribbon; also applied to the inside surface of the wrapper, at least over the areas exhibiting the incisions, are respective ribbon patches able to restore the continuity of the wrapper where broken by the incisions, in such a way that the contents of the packet will remain isolated from the external environment until the ribbon is removed.
