  • Publication number: 20160191385
Abstract: A method is provided for managing fragmentation of packets for content object retrieval at a content centric networking (CCN) gateway in a CCN network. The method includes receiving a first CCN interest packet including a name for a first content object from a user equipment in an access network, storing a fragmentation stream identifier in a header of the first CCN interest packet, and setting a path minimum maximum transmission unit (MTU) in the first CCN interest packet to an MTU value required by a link between the CCN gateway and a node forwarding the first CCN interest packet to the CCN gateway.

  • Publication number: 20160173410
Abstract: A method is implemented for enforcing quality of service (QOS) for accessing content objects on a per user basis at a content centric networking (CCN) gateway in a CCN network. The method receives a CCN interest packet including a name for a content object from a user equipment. An expected size of the content object is determined. An estimated bandwidth usage for a user is calculated based on the expected size of the content object. The estimated bandwidth usage for the user is compared with a permitted bandwidth in a QOS profile of the user. The CCN interest packet is processed, in response to the estimated bandwidth being less than the permitted bandwidth in the QOS profile of the user.

  • Publication number: 20160119194
Abstract: A method provides for marking classifications of content objects at a content marking node in a content centric networking (CCN) network. The content marking node has a network interface with a network that is separately administered from the CCN network. The method includes receiving a content object on the network interface, checking whether the content object is authentic and there is a pending interest for the content object, and sending a request to a content marking service to obtain categories for the content object using a name of the content object. The method further includes receiving a response from the content marking service with the categories for the content object, and adding a category field to the content object, the category field including the categories.

  • Publication number: 20160119234
Abstract: A method provides filtering of content objects on a per user basis at a gateway node in a content centric networking (CCN) network. The gateway node has a network interface with a network of a user device originating a CCN interest packet. The method includes receiving a CCN interest packet including a CCN name and a user identity, retrieving a content object identified by the CCN name, and retrieving allowed categories of the user. The method further includes retrieving categories of the content object, checking whether allowed categories of the user enable retrieval of the content object based on comparison with the categories of the content object, and forwarding the content object to user in response to the allowed categories enabling retrieval of the content object for the user.

  • Patent number: 8639562
Abstract: A method for cost entity matching can include constructing a first graph including a number of first entities and a number of second entities, and assigning a number of first cost values to each of a number of first edges connecting one of the number of first entities to one of the number of second entities in the first graph; adding a second graph to the first graph, wherein the second graph includes the number of first entities and the number of second entities, and assigning a second cost value to each of a number of second edges connecting one of the number of first entities in the first graph to the corresponding first entity in the second graph; and, matching each one of the number of second entities to one of the number of first entities based on the number of first cost values and the second cost values.

  • Patent number: 6468123
Abstract: A flying disk includes an outer ring, a plurality of blades spaced from one another and extending from the outer ring to a central hub to form a top plate thereof. The blades have a leading edge of greater cross-sectional thickness than the trailing edge thereof to provide lift. A bottom plate is attached to the top plate and defines a turbine structure including a series of slots and vanes extending downwardly from an edge of a slot from the bottom plate. The blades cause the disk to rise to a maximum altitude, and as the disk descends, the turbine structure regenerates the spinning motion thereby extending flight time.

  • Patent number: 6371940
Abstract: A mechanical rapid exchange device is provided which plastically deforms a guidewire and constrains the guidewire in a non-linear configuration such that a catheter may be moved relatively proximally or distally over the guidewire to facilitate catheter exchange. The device generally includes a housing having a channel along a length of one side of the housing, a central first punch movable between a first position in which the first punch is located substantially to one side of the channel and a second position in which it extends at least partially into the channel, lateral second and third punches movable between a respective first position in which they are located to the other side of the channel and a respective second position in which they extend at least partially into the channel. The device also includes a handle attached via levers to the second and third punches such that when the handle is actuated, the second and third punches are moved into the second position.

  • Patent number: 6190333
Abstract: A threader device includes two substantially symmetrical elongate body members each having an inner face provided with a channel, an aligning guide, a first end, a second end, a hinge portion, and a locking portion. The two body members are pivotally coupled together at the hinge portions. When the two body members are in a closed position, the channels of the two body members together define a longitudinal passage having a stepped cylindrical cavity and a funnel at each of the first and second ends. The cavity is adapted to receive the distal end of a balloon catheter. Additionally, the cavity may receive and securely hold a non-balloon type catheter. One funnel is adapted to direct a guidewire into the cavity. The locking portions are adapted to create a snap closure for the threader device.
