Abstract: A motor vehicle front lighting system including a pair of parabolic reflectors each including a light source located in the focus of the respected reflector. The reflectors are positioned such that the light rays produced are directed transversely of the front of the motor vehicle. A plurality of mirrors is located in the path of the light rays and generally at an acute angle to the light rays, the mirrors directing the light rays forwardly of the motor vehicle. Selected angular orienting of the mirrors or, alternatively, light directing lens, direct a substantial portion of the light rays downwardly in a non-glare manner in the front of the motor vehicle. Positioning of the light sources is such as to block direct transmission of the light forwardly from the light sources forwardly of the motor vehicle.
