  • Publication number: 20150310239
Abstract: An electronic device operable with a radio frequency identification device operable with a detector logic and a method for operating the electronic device with a radio frequency identification device and a detector logic is provided. Firstly, a detection event is registered by the detector logic. The detected event relates to an operation of the radio frequency identification device, which is applicable to transmit data to a counterpart radio frequency identification device. A detection signal is generated and issued by the detector logic in response to the registering and detection event, respectively, which detection signal is received by the electronic device. Then, the electronic device initiates one or more operations in response to the receiving of the detection signal.

  • Patent number: 8385899
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for automated application-selective processing of data by a portable processor based terminal device and the portable processor based terminal device enabled to perform the aforementioned method. The data is receivable wirelessly from an external counterpart data provision entity. One or more content data is extracted from the wirelessly received data. Then it is checked whether an application, which is currently carried out on the portable processor based terminal device, is applicable or compatible with the one or more content data and in case a content data is applicable with the current running application, the content data is supplied to the application, which processed on the supplied content data accordingly.

  • Patent number: 8225014
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of short-rage communication systems. In particular, the present invention relates to radio frequency identification transponders with fixed physical memory capacity having however a flexible virtual memory capacity allowing for providing amounts of data by the radio frequency identification transponders extending the fixed physical memory capacity. Accordingly, a method and a radio frequency identification transponder for continuos data provision by a radio frequency identification transponder is provided. A stream of data is received via a data interface for the transponder and the received data is stored in a transponder memory. Then the stored data is read out form the transponder memory and supplied to a radio frequency interface for being communicated therewith. Next, the memory, which is currently used for storing data, which has been read out previously, is provided afterwards for storing data being received subsequently via the data interface.

  • Patent number: 8176064
Abstract: In general, the present invention purposes a method for automated information based selective data provision by an identification device is provided. Information data associated with a plurality of data records stored in a data storage are scanned in order to obtain filter information relating to the plurality of data records from the informational data. Then at least one data record out of the plurality of data records is selected. The selection of the data records is obtained on the basis of the obtained filter information which are compared with a predefined filter rule for identifying relevant data records which match with the filter rule. The at least one selected data record is subsequently configured at the identification device and the identification device provides at least one configured data record as an identification information to be retrievable wirelessly by an external inquiring entity.

  • Patent number: 7565108
Abstract: A RF-ID based wireless terminal includes a reader device with transponder functionality implementing ECMA 340 standard for near field communication and has shortened session set-up and user identification. The reader device is operable in an active communication mode or a passive communication mode. During the active mode, one RF-ID tag reader simulates a RF-ID tag while the other simulates a RF-ID tag reader. The reader includes a transponder, which operates during periods of time when the reader is not energized. A radio frequency interface provides signal for operation of the reader in the reader operation mode or transponder mode of operation. An RF-ID reader upon receiving a response signal from a semi-passive or active RF-ID tag of reader emulating a tag informs the terminal CPU which instructs the short-range communication to enter e.g. a page scanning mode which shortens session set-up time and user identification.
