Patent number: 11617930Abstract: A golf tee tether assembly for PURPOSE includes a cable has a length of no less than 19.0 inches. A pair of grommets is each attached to a respective end of the cable. Each of the grommets has an inside diameter of no more than 0.312 inches thereby facilitating each of the grommets to insertably receive a golf tee. A first one of the grommets is positionable at a drive location on a golf course to support a golf ball for driving the golf ball. A second one of the grommets is positionable at an anchor location that is displaced from the drive location. In this way the golf tee in the second grommet inhibits the golf tee in the first grommet from flying away when the golf ball is driven.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2021Date of Patent: April 4, 2023Inventors: Bruce Johnson, Carol Johnson

Publication number: 20060124500Abstract: A container with adjustable inner partitions provides flexibility for holding different sizes of substantially rectangular products. The partitions also cushion the product to protect against damage from physical pressure exerted on the box. Within the four walls of a rectangular box, panels are aligned parallel to the top and bottom walls. Multiple slots are formed in the panels, said slots opposing each other to create pairs of panel slots suitable for receiving a partition perpendicular to the panels. Multiple pairs of slots formed in the panels enable dual partitions to be inserted between the panels at a variety of positions. Two partitions are inserted in pairs of panel slots providing an appropriate distance between the partitions to secure a particular size rectangular product in between the partitions. Each partition may be provided with a slot convenient for receiving an edge of the rectangular product, to hold the product in place.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2004Publication date: June 15, 2006Inventors: Jesse Mena, Carol Johnson, Charles Johnson, Daniel Reichenberg

Publication number: 20040188594Abstract: A radiometrically stable, spectrally tunable, solid-state source combines the radiometric outputs of individually controlled, narrow bandwidth, solid-state sources (e.g., LEDs) with different spectral distributions in an integrating sphere so as to approximate any desired spectral distribution. By using a sufficient number of independent solid-state source channels, the source can be tuned to approximate the spectral distribution of any desired source distribution. A stable reference spectroradiometer, integrated into the solid-state light source, measures the spectral radiance or irradiance and is used to adjust the output of the individual channels of the individually controlled sources.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 3, 2004Publication date: September 30, 2004Inventors: Steven W. Brown, B. Carol Johnson, George P. Eppeldauer

Patent number: 5310552Abstract: A convenient, economical, non-toxic and effective apparatus for the control of roaches by administration of entomopathogenic fungi to the cockroaches. The roaches are exposed to the fungi in a contamination chamber having openings through which the cockroaches enter and come in contact with a living culture of a fungus which is pathogenic to cockroaches. The fungal spores attach to the roach, germinate and penetrate into the body of the cockroach, resulting in the death of the infected roach. Death takes approximately two to three weeks after contact with the culture. During this time, the infected roach disseminates spores of the pathogenic fungus throughout the infested areas which may subsequently infect other roaches. Given the proper environmental conditions, the fungus sporulates on the cadaver of the roach and the conidia can be transmitted to other cockroaches, resulting in a further spread of the disease.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 1992Date of Patent: May 10, 1994Assignee: EcoScience CorporationInventors: Haim B. Gunner, Fernando Agudelo-Silva, Carol A. Johnson, Meir Broza

Patent number: 5057315Abstract: A convenient, economical, non-toxic and effective method and means for the control of roaches by administration of entomopathogenic fungi to the cockroaches. In the preferred embodiment, the roaches are exposed to the fungi by means of a contamination chamber having openings through which the cockroaches enter and come in contact with a living culture of a fungus which is pathogenic to cockroaches. The fungal spores attach to the roach, germinate and penetrate into the body of the cockroach, resulting in the death of the infected roach. Patent number: 4831526Abstract: A fully computerized insurance system is provided for processing and preparing applications for insurance and premium quotations and for preparing and writing insurance contracts. A central processor, including a data bank into which data is written and from which data is read, this data including information regarding the risk to be insured, client information, insurance premium information and predetermined text data for incorporation with insurance contracts, is interconnected with plural terminals, including input and display apparatus, to permit data to be entered and retrieved from the central processor. The central processor is also provided with the capability of merging entered or stored data with predetermined text data to compile data embodying a final insurance document. This data is then communicated to a printer for printing of the insurance document.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 1986Date of Patent: May 16, 1989Assignee: The Chubb CorporationInventors: Charles M. Patent number: 3964299Abstract: A strain indicator of the type wherein a change in length of a strain member produces a change in color of a visual indicator. An indicator area and a light-absorbing indicator fluid are encapsulated in a member that also includes a window. The capsule is fastened to the strain member with an adhesive. A change in length of the strain member causes the indicator area to become separated from the window with the result that light-absorbing indicator fluid is caused to flow between the indicator area and the window.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 1974Date of Patent: June 22, 1976Assignee: Modulus CorporationInventor: Robert Carol Johnson
