Abstract: A configurable table assembly comprises two table-base sub-assemblies shaped to removably connect together and two table-surface sub-assemblies, each supported by one of the two table-base sub-assemblies. Each table-surface sub-assembly has first and second surface portions, the second surface portion being operable to rest upon the first surface portion and selectively unfold therefrom. The table-base and the table-surface sub-assemblies, together, have a single-table configuration and a double-table configuration. In the single-table configuration, the table-base and the table-surface sub-assemblies are separably mated together to form an integrated table base and an integrated table surface. In the double-table configuration, the table-base sub-assemblies are separated from one another to form two separate tables, each supporting thereon a respective one of the table-surface sub-assemblies.

At least one leg member from each of the first and second pluralities of leg members are matched to each other. One of each two matched leg members includes a channeled portion along the length of the leg member. The other matched leg member includes a mating portion such that the channeled portion and the mating portion mate with each other. A method of configuring a table into two separate tables, and vice versa, is provided.

Abstract: The guardrail window assembly includes a window sub-assembly movable between the floor and ceiling sections of a patio or balcony. A stationary support is mounted on the floor and includes two foreshortened vertical supports rising only partially towards the ceiling section. A crossheader frame is movably retained between the two vertical supports. The crossheader frame is generally rectangularly shaped and the sides of the crossheader carry trolleys that run in tracks provided within the stationary support. In a first position, the crosshead frame is encased by the stationary support. In a second position, the crossheader frame extends from and frames an area between the stationary support and the ceiling. That area can be open or can be screened, as necessary. A window, consisting of a window pane and a window frame, is movably retained within the crossheader frame and the stationary support. In the first and second positions, the window is disposed within the stationary support.

Abstract: In the illustrated embodiment, the guardrail window assembly includes three outer stationary rectangular superstructures. Each superstructure forms a wall section of the assembly and adjacent superstructures are connected together by vertical posts that rise from the patio or balcony area. Each superstructure longer than four (4) feet has a header, a footer and a pair of upright jambs. Window panes are retained by window frames. Each superstructure has at least one telescoping column uprightly attached to the footer. Each telescoping column includes, in this embodiment, three column segments. The lower column segment is fixed to the footer and the upper column segments telescope from the lower column segment. The window frames are attached on one side to one column segment and the opposing side of the window frame is either set within a groove in the jamb or is affixed to another column segment of an adjacent telescoping column.
