    Abstract: The present invention relates to plasticized cellulose ester derivative compositions comprising a cellulose ester derivative and at least a one compound having a molecular weight preferably equal to or more than 200 g/mol and equal to or less than 600 g/mol wherein the exudation, determined by Isothermal ThermoGravimetric Analysis at 60° C. during 20 hours, is equal to or less than 1.00%. The compositions display efficient plasticizing performances and limited exudation in time and temperature. The present invention further relates to the use of a compound of formula (I), formula (II), formula (III) or an acyl trialkyl citrate as a plasticizer of a cellulose ester derivative and a process for the manufacture of a plasticized article.
