  • Patent number: 9175606
Abstract: A method for flushing a section of a fuel system of a burner of a gas turbine is provided. The method includes the steps of providing a feed line for feeding fuel from a fuel source to the burner, providing a first feed point close to the burner and a second feed point remote from the burner in the feed line in each case for feeding a medium into the feed line, feeding the medium via the first feed point, and discharging, via the burner, the fuel which is in the feed line between the first feed point and the burner, and also feeding the medium via the second feed point, and discharging, via the first feed point, the fuel which is in the feed line between the second feed point and the first feed point.

    Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT
Inventors: Carsten Bassmann, Volker Ertle, Michael Nienhaus, Horst Uwe Rauh, Damian Razowski, Uwe Scheuer, Ulrich Wagner
  • Patent number: 8752583
Abstract: A multi-way valve of a fuel system of a gas turbine is provided. The multi-way valve includes a valve body provided with a cylindrical housing, the wall bounding the housing includes a plurality of openings for supplying and/or removing fluids, wherein a movably supported insert including at least one channel having two additional openings is provided in the housing, whereby two adjoining openings may be fluidically connected to each other.

  • Publication number: 20060289737
Abstract: The invention relates to a mass spectrometric mixture analysis to determine both simple mass spectra of the substances as well as more detailed information about structures and other characteristics of the substances. The invention consists in temporally separating the substance mixture in a separating device, splitting the eluating flow of substances into at least two partial flows and measuring the substances in the different partial flows by mass spectrometry. A direct measurement provides a series of spectra whose evaluation is used for optimal control of the time at which a spectrum of another, delayed partial flow is acquired and the type of this measurement procedure. The substances of the delayed partial flows or their ions can thereby be chemically or physically modified in a variety of ways in order to provide the molecular weight as well as more detailed information.
